part 2 of reunited if anyone rmbs basically after a few years yn and akaashi are in their mid-late twenties
yn has been in osaka for work but misses her friends in tokyo, she decides to move back at an impulse offer from akaashi for her to move in with him

(your pov)

"Is that all of the boxes?"

"Yeah I think so."

It's been a while since that fateful day at Bokuto's wedding, but I'm finally in the process of moving back to Tokyo. With Akaashi.

I'm moving in with Akaashi.

How did I get here???

We just finished moving all my stuff into his apartment. It wasn't all that much, I decided to get rid of a lot of unneeded stuff.

"Let's take a ten minute break." Keiji tosses me a bottle of- peach tea.

I love peach tea.

"Hey, this is my favourite drink." I smile, opening it as I look up at him.

"Yeah I know." He glanced at me, opening a green tea for himself. "You've told me before."

"And you remembered?!" I stare at him, incredulous.

"Yeah?" He blinks at me.

Wow.

I shake my head.

"Let's continue in a bit."

***

"Ugh finally!" I groan, collapsing on my new bed.

We finally got everything unpacked and new Ikea furniture built. We'd had it delivered the night before.

Akaashi wanted to build it for me before I came but I forced him not to. It was just a bedside table and a dresser anyways, since the old ones they had were broken.

Keiji used to live with Bokuto until about a year ago, when Kou moved in with Yukie. I'm surprised he never found a new room-mate until now.

"Here." Keiji hands me a teriyaki chiken onigiri, which I take for him gratefully.

I hadn't realised how hungry I was.

"Hey Eiji what are we doing later?" I ask.

"Hm? I don't know, actually." He thinks for a moment, taking a bite of his own onigiri.

"Let's go out for dinner tonight." I suggest. "My treat."

"We can go out for dinner, but no way you're paying." He says firmly.

"Ugh you're always like this." I roll my eyes.

"I was told by you to be a gentleman." He says snarkily.

"That was literally in kindergarden." I deadpan. "After you stole my chicken nuggets."

"So worth it." He sighs.

"Keiji!"

He laughs, throwing back his head.

I missed this.

***

"When I said "let's go out for dinner" I meant like fast food."

"You wanna leave?"

"Well, no."

"'Kay so shut up, respectfully." He adds the last part because he knows I would hit him.

Playfully, of course.

"Whatever." I mumble.

"Hey you like yakiniku." He frowns.

"...I do but THAT DOESN'T MEAN BRING ME TO AN EXPENSIVE ASS ALL YOU CAN EAT YAKINIKU."

"I WANNA TREAT YOU."

"NO TAKE MY MONEY."

"HELL NO!"

This happens more often than you'd think.

I stare at him.

He stares at me.

We both burst out laughing.

"Oh man...I missed this." I say, choking through my laughter.

"Me too." Keiji smiles at me.

I slip a few thousand yen into his pocket.

"Did you really think I wouldn't notice?" He frowns at me, pulling the money out of his pocket.

"You never noticed before." I shrug.

"..."

"Is THAT why I always found money in my pocket after we hung out????"

"Yup." I take a sip of my soda, which had miraculously appeared while we were arguing.

"Y/n..." He puts his face in his hands.

"For someone so smart you are pretty stupid sometimes." I snicker.

"I always thought I was just being forgetful and misplacing my stuff!" He looks up to groan.

"Pfft- when do you ever misplace your stuff?" I laugh.

"...That's true, actually, very rarely." He looks up thoughtfully.

"Exactly." I say, pointing a finger at him. "You're not me."

He barks out a laugh, I have a history of losing just about everything. And not doing my work.

"Yeah you right." He shrugs.

Just then our server arrives with the meat, beef and pork.

Akaashi grabs the tongs without a word and starts cooking the meat. I grab the other one, placing a piece of meat on the grill.

For a while we're quiet, sitting in a comfortable silence as we cook the meat together.

"Here." Eiji places a piece of meat on my plate.

This is what I hate about Keiji. He's way too gentleman-ly, it makes it way to hard to not fall in love with him.

Incidentally, this is one of those things he does that is quite literally the bare minimum of courtesy.

"Thanks Eiji."
