Sari was in the middle of preparing lunch when her phone buzzed. Seeing Mira’s name flash on the screen, she quickly wiped her hands and answered.
“oh Mira, ” Sari greeted, a smile spreading across her face.
“Sari! kailan ka uuwi ng Pinas?, miss na miss Kana namin. At si Miyuki” Mira’s voice was filled with excitement. “Mag tatampo na talaga ako sayo, wala ka dito nung kasal ko hanggang sa binyag ng mga anak ko”
“Sorry na Mira, alam mo naman ang sitwasyon ko diba, gustuhin ko man umuwi pero may mga importanteng bagay na dapat unahin” Sari replied, feeling a bit guilty for not reaching out sooner. “It’s been… busy.”
Mira chuckled softly. “Sige na sige, but you know why I’m calling, right? Scarlet is getting married to Jo! Ikakasal na ang dalawang maingay”
Sari’s eyes widened in surprise.
Sari hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with thoughts of the past and the changes that had happened since she left. “pag iisipan ko, at sana maka attend din,” she said, smiling at the thought of reuniting with everyone.
“huwag mo nang pag isipan gawin mo na” Mira replied

TIME SKIPIt had been a month since Sari made the decision to return to the Philippines for Scarlet's wedding. The morning was quiet, filled with the rustle of packing as Sari folded clothes into suitcases, preparing for their trip. Just as she finished packing Miyuki’s favorite dress, the little girl appeared at the doorway, her eyes wide with wonder.
“Mommy,” Miyuki said, clutching her stuffed toy. “I had a dream last night.”
Sari smiled, kneeling down to be at eye level with her daughter. “Oh yes? What was your dream about, anak?”
Miyuki’s face turned thoughtful as she recounted the dream. “There was an old man. He was smiling at me. We were in a garden, and he told me to take care of you, Mommy. He looked kind… like he knew us.”
Sari felt a sudden pang in her chest, her pulse quickening with unease. “An old man?” she asked, her voice gentle but curious. “Did he look familiar?”
Miyuki nodded slowly, her small hands fidgeting with her toy. “Yeah, kind of. I think I’ve seen him before.”
Sari felt a wave of nervousness wash over her. Without saying much, she stood up and walked to the bookshelf, pulling out a small photo album. Flipping through the pages, she found the picture she was looking for a photograph of herself as a little girl, standing beside her lolo, who had passed away when she was young.
Sari carefully showed the picture to Miyuki, her heart racing. “Is this him, Miyuki? Is this the man you saw in your dream?”
Miyuki’s eyes lit up immediately, her voice excited. “Yes! That’s him, Mommy! That’s the man from my dream!”
Sari’s breath caught in her throat, and for a moment, she was speechless. A mixture of emotions flooded her joy, nostalgia,
Holding the picture close, Sari smiled at Miyuki, her heart full but heavy. “That was your Lolo, anak,” she whispered, feeling a sense of peace settle over her, even as the lingering nervousness remained.

Sari turns to Tacia, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Pano ikaw aattend ka din ba sa wedding ni Scarlet at jo?”
Tacia hesitates, her heart racing at the thought. “I don’t know… Mica will be there. Baka masaktan lang ako pag nakita ko ulit siya” The mention of her ex hangs heavily in the air.
Sari’s expression shifts to one of understanding. “Naiintindihan kita. Tacia, pero big event to ng kaibigan natin, hayaan mo muna si Mics. Importante kompleto tayo sa big event ni Scarlet at jo”
Tacia fidgets, thinking. “actually guilty din ako dahil wala tayo nung wedding ni Mira pati sa binyag ng kambal. Kaya yes.... pupunta nalang ako, but… what if it’s awkward? And possible Mica's wife will be there too.”
Sari leans in closer, sensing Tacia’s uncertainty. “You’re worried about how it’ll feel to see Mica and her wife together, right? But it could be a good chance for you to face those feelings.”
“I just don’t know if I’m ready,” Tacia admits. “Baka mag mukha lang akong talunan”
Sari squeezes Tacia’s hand. “Never kang magiging talunan. Tsaka hello.alam naman natin na ikaw unang nang iwan for a reason, pero siya hindi nakapag hintay at nag pakasal pa sa iba.”
Taking a deep breath, Tacia contemplates Sari’s words. “nakakainis,” she finally says, her resolve slowly building. “pero ikaw sure Kana ba talaga?,pano yung what if natin?.”
“wala na akong dapat katakutan. At alam kong hindi na yun mag papakita,” Sari said, a smile breaking across her face. Tacia nods, feeling a flicker of hope amidst her worries.
