The wedding day had arrived, and the air was filled with excitement and joy. Scarlet looked radiant in her wedding gown, while Jo stood proudly at the altar, her face glowing with happiness

Their friends filled the church, each one sharing in the celebration and the beauty of the moment. Sari sat with Miyuki on her lap, the little girl watching the ceremony with wide, curious eyes.

Mira, Tacia, Mica, and Cole exchanged glances, sharing a silent understanding. They knew the history between Sari and Gio, and despite the joyful occasion, a part of them was worried.

Just as the ceremony was about to begin, Jo received a text on her phone. She discreetly glanced down, her expression shifting slightly as she

read Gio’s message: *“Sorry, Jo, I won’t be able to make it to the church for the ceremony. I’ll try to join at the reception. Please send my love to Scarlet, and I’ll see you later.”*

Jo sighed in relief, knowing this might make things easier for everyone, especially Sari. She tucked her phone away, focusing back on Scarlet, who was now walking down the aisle.

The ceremony proceeded beautifully, with vows exchanged, tears shed, and laughter shared. Sari felt a wave of calm, thankful that there would be no sudden confrontations.

She focused on the joy of her friends' union, holding Miyuki close, the warmth of the day filling her heart.

The reception hall was filled with soft lights, floral arrangements, and the lively chatter of friends and family celebrating Scarlet and Jo's union

The reception hall was filled with soft lights, floral arrangements, and the lively chatter of friends and family celebrating Scarlet and Jo's union.

Sari, with Miyuki by her side, joined the others in congratulating the newlyweds, laughing and toasting to the couple’s future. She felt a sense of relief and joy, surrounded by friends who felt more like family.

Mira, Tacia, Mica, and Cole shared knowing glances, still on alert for Gio’s possible arrival. They had all hoped that this would be a day free of any awkward encounters, but they knew Gio's presence at the reception might change that.

As the evening progressed, Sari was caught up in conversation, feeling lighter than she had in a long time. She laughed with Mira about the twins' antics and shared a dance with Tacia, while Miyuki played happily nearby with the other kids.

As the reception continued, laughter and music filled the air, creating an atmosphere of pure celebration. Sari watched as the newlyweds shared their first dance, their smiles radiating joy.

However, her gaze shifted to Miyuki, who was beginning to nod off, her little head drooping as she fought to stay awake amid the festivities.

Sari leaned over to Scarlet, who was chatting with Jo, and said, “Excuse me, Scarlet. Pwedeng bang ma una na kami? inaantok na si  Miyuki eh.”

Scarlet nodded understandingly. “Of course, Sari. Thank you for coming. Bond tayo ulit soon .”

With a warm smile, Sari gently lifted Miyuki, cradling her in her arms. As she made her way toward the exit, she didn’t notice Gio slipping into the reception area, scanning the room for familiar faces.

As Sari stepped outside to the cool evening air, she took a deep breath, feeling grateful for the lovely evening but also for her daughter.

Inside, Jo and Scarlet continued their celebration, oblivious to the missed connection. Gio moved further into the hall, her heart racing as she approached their friends.

The energy of the reception continued, but for Sari, the warmth of the night had transitioned into a peaceful quiet as she walked home with her daughter, content to have witnessed such a beautiful celebration.

Gio entered the reception, feeling a mixture of excitement and anxiety. She had longed for this moment  a chance to reconnect with Sari after all the unresolved feelings between them.

Scanning the room, she hoped to catch a glimpse of the girl who had once meant so much to her, but the crowd was dense, and she couldn't spot her anywhere.

As Gio maneuvered through the guests, Cole, who had been chatting nearby, noticed Gio's focused expression. With a playful grin, she approached her. “May hinahanap ka ba, Gio?” she teased, her eyes dancing with mischief.

Gio tried to play it cool, shaking her head with a forced laugh. “No, of course not. Just... enjoying the party.” But deep down, her heart raced at the thought of Sari being there.

Cole raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. “totoo bang nag eenjoy ka?. Eh kanina kapa hindi mapakali diyan”

Gio hesitated, her defenses crumbling. “Okay, fine! Maybe I was hoping to see her,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “umattend ba siya? Kasal to ng kaibigan niya imposibleng wala siya.”

Cole’s expression softened slightly, but she couldn’t resist one last jab. “hindi ko alam Gio eh, remember wala din siya nung kasal namin ni Mira.”

Gio rolled her eyes, but a small smile tugged at her lips. “pinalagpas niya ang big events ng mga kaibigan niya.”

“Siguro busy lang talaga ang tao, hindi mo matiis no?. Bakit ready kana bang humarap sa kaniya?” Cole asked, changing tactics.”

Gio sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. “kahit anong oras kami mag kita, pag hahandaan ko. Miss na miss ko na siya”

“Ang tanong miss ka na rin ba niya?. I mean, pagkatapos ng biglaang hindi mo pag paramdam sa kaniya?”

Taking a deep breath, Gio finally decided to take the plunge. “Alam kong malaki ang kasalanan ko sa kaniya, pero hindi ko naman ginusto yung nangyari diba” she said
