The moment had finally come. After days of careful thought and heartfelt conversations, Sari felt ready to introduce Miyuki to her other mom the piece of her family that had been missing for so long.

As she stood outside Miyuki’s private hospital room, she took a deep breath, feeling the weight of anticipation, hope, and the deep desire to see her daughter’s joy.

Before entering, she saw her parents standing quietly in the hallway, their eyes soft with understanding. Sari turned to them, her voice gentle but firm.

“Mom, Dad, I papakilala ko na si Yuki kay Gio. I want her to feel that our family is whole.” Her parents exchanged a look, then nodded with quiet smiles, embracing her one by one.

“masaya kami anak, masaya kaming tinanggap mo na ulit si Gio sa buhay niyo” her mother whispered, brushing a reassuring hand along her arm.

With that, her parents stepped away, leaving Sari and Gio to finally step into the room.

Inside, Miyuki sat up in her hospital bed, her eyes lighting up as she saw Sari. But then she noticed Gio by her side, and a flicker of confusion crossed her face.

She looked between the two women, trying to understand what was happening.

“Miyuki, anak,” Sari said softly, sitting beside her daughter and taking her small hand in hers. “There’s something important I want to tell you.”

She smiled, her heart pounding with a mix of love and excitement. “You remember how I told you that you have two parents who love you very much?”

Miyuki nodded slowly, her bright eyes wide with curiosity.

Sari glanced at Gio, then looked back at her daughter. “This is Gio,” she continued, her voice thick with emotion. “She’s not just Mommy’s friend… she’s your other mom. She’s been waiting a long time to meet you and be part of your life.”

Miyuki’s face softened as she looked at Gio with wonder. “You’re… my other mom?” she whispered, her voice filled with awe and disbelief. “Are you gonna love me too, like Mommy does?”

Gio, who had been holding back her emotions, knelt down so that she was at eye level with Miyuki, her own eyes glistening with tears.

She reached out, taking Miyuki’s small hands in her own. “Miyuki, I’ve loved you from the moment I knew about you. Even before I met you, I loved you more than you could imagine. I’ve been waiting for this day, waiting to be here with you and your mom.”

In that instant, Miyuki’s face broke into a smile, her own tears spilling down her cheeks. “So… you’re the friend I wanted to know more about?” she asked, her voice a mix of wonder and happiness.

“Yes, anak,” Gio replied, her voice thick with emotion. “And now I get to be here with you, just like I’ve always dreamed of.”

Sari watched as her daughter wrapped her arms around Gio, both of them overcome with emotion as they embraced for the first time as mother and daughter.

Tears filled Sari’s own eyes as she took in the scene, finally feeling the family she had always hoped for come together.

The three of them stayed that way for a long time, wrapped in each other’s arms, crying tears of joy and relief.

As the three of them held each other in a tearful embrace, the door opened, and in came Tacia, Mira, and Scarlet, their faces lighting up as they took in the heartfelt reunion before them.

They exchanged warm smiles, filled with happiness and relief, seeing Sari, Gio, and Miyuki finally together as a family.

“bakit naiiyak akong makitang  finally kompleto na kayo,” Scarlet whispered, her eyes glistening with emotion. Mira gave a soft laugh, nodding in agreement as she took Sari’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

“Sobrang saya namin para sayo Sari. Sa wakas pinakawalan mo na ang takot at tuluyang pinahilom ang sugat sa puso mo,” Mira said, her voice warm and sincere. “You deserve this moment, after everything you’ve been through.”

After a round of hugs and laughter, Sari turned to Tacia with a curious smile. “By the way, Tacia, kailan ka nga pala babalik sa Sydney?” she asked.

Tacia shook her head, a soft smile playing on her lips. “Actually… I’m not going back.” She looked at Sari and Gio, then at the rest of their friends, a quiet excitement in her expression.

“Nag kaayos na din kami ni Mica, naisip ko na bakit iiwan ko ulit siya kaya. I’ve decided to transfer here permanently. I want to stay in the Philippines, to work as a doctor here, and to be closer to all of you.”

Sari’s face lit up, and she pulled Tacia into a tight hug. “Masaya ako para sayo Tacia, masaya ako para sa inyo ni Mics.”

Gio smiled, joining in on the excitement. “ finally hindi na ako madadamay sa tuwing mag lalasing ang babaeng iyon.”

The group of friends shared in the joy of the moment, each of them feeling grateful to have come together, stronger than ever.
