In the grand hall of the castle, with sunbeams streaming through stained-glass windows casting colorful patterns across the stone floor, Prince Minho sat on his throne, shoulders draped in royal blue. His eyes were sharp, carrying the weight of the kingdom Minho's long reign as the eldest son had been forged in fire, both literal and metaphorical, ever since the tragic night when he lost his parents to the blaze that swept through their castle. Ever since, his younger brother, Prince Felix, had been under his care—a beacon of light amidst Minho's shadows.

Felix, two years younger, was beloved by the kingdom, admired for his kindness, purity, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him. The people affectionately called him "the kingdom's sunshine." But now that Minho was preparing for his coronation as king, he couldn't always keep Felix by his side. His brother needed guards—loyal, brave souls who could stand between him and any danger that might threaten his innocent light.

Minho had turned to his two closest friends and bodyguards, Chan and Changbin, for guidance. Together, they had identified three young men with exceptional skill and unshakable dedication to duty: Hyunjin, a fierce warrior known for his elegance and strategic mind; Jisung, whose agile prowess on the battlefield was matched by his quick wit; and Jeongin, whose loyalty and protective instincts were beyond question, despite his youthful appearance. Seungmin, the royal assistant, had assured Minho that all three possessed records of astonishing bravery.

Minho called Felix to the throne room and talked with his brother before meeting with the three that would be his brother's guards. Prince Minho sat on the throne, his expression firm but with an undercurrent of warmth as he watched his younger brother, Felix, approach. Felix's bright smile broke through the quiet tension of the room, his golden curls bouncing lightly as he ran up to Minho.

"Hyung!" Felix greeted, his eyes alight. "Are you really going through with it? Becoming king?" His voice was a mix of excitement and a hint of sadness.

Minho chuckled softly, reaching out to ruffle Felix's hair. "It's time, little brother. The people need a king. But I won't be able to keep you close by as much anymore." His gaze softened. "That's why I'm making sure you'll be safe, even when I can't be there."

Felix's smile wavered, his eyes widening with worry. "Safe? Minho, I don't need bodyguards! I'm fine on my own. Besides, I know how to handle myself," he added, trying to sound confident.

"Felix," Minho said, his tone firm but affectionate, "it's not about whether you can handle yourself. It's about knowing that I can focus on my duties without worrying every second about you wandering off into trouble." Minho raised an eyebrow knowingly. "Remember the time you snuck out to the market without telling anyone?"

Felix's cheeks turned pink as he stammered, "That was one time!"

Minho laughed, shaking his head. "You're a prince, Felix. It's my job to protect you—even if you think you don't need it." He paused, eyes shifting to the door. "And they're here now. I want you to meet the ones who will keep you safe."

Just then, the large wooden doors opened, and three young men entered, each one bowing deeply before the princes. Minho stood, straightening his posture as he addressed them. "This is Hyunjin, Jisung, and Jeongin," he introduced, his tone serious. "They're the best of the best."

"I'm entrusting you with the most precious person in my life," Minho's voice held a solemn tone, edged with protectiveness. "My brother, Prince Felix, is not only my kin but the heart of this kingdom. Your sole duty is to keep him safe, to ensure he is free to be who he is without fear. Do you accept?"

The three young men bowed deeply, their eyes shining with pride and excitement. Felix's reputation preceded him, and they knew that it was both an honor and a privilege to protect him.
