"A star that lit the world, a love that warmed his heart, and a light that will never fade."
The chamber glowed with the soft shimmer of stardust, the air thick with the hum of ancient power. Seven figures stood in a loose circle, bathed in the eternal light of the heavens. They were celestial—immortal guardians of balance, wielders of divine power. Each carried the essence of stars in their veins.
The stillness shattered when golden light erupted near the center, and from it emerged Saintess Jinye, her robes flowing like liquid moonlight.
"You don't usually appear without calling," Chan said, stepping forward. His voice was calm but edged with concern. "What's happened?"
Jinye's eyes were wide, almost frantic. "There's no time to explain slowly. A human is in danger—a boy named Felix."
"A human?" Minho arched a brow. "Saintess, why would we be summoned over one human?"
"Because," she said firmly, "he's not just any human. He's destined to ascend. The fates have written it—he's to become a celestial being."
A silence fell over the chamber. Jisung blinked. "Wait, like one of us?"
"Yes. But demons have caught the scent of his soul. They're moving now. If they corrupt him before his ascension, he'll fall. And if he falls..." Her voice trembled slightly. "He'll become something worse than even the demons themselves."
Changbin's jaw tightened. "Where is he?"
"The mortal realm. Seoul, South Korea. He's unaware of what he is—just living a quiet life. He's bright... so bright. Even the stars whispered his name last night."
Hyunjin, who had been standing silently behind the others, finally spoke. "How old is he?"
"Twenty Three," Jinye said. "Kind. Soft-spoken. He radiates light like the dawn, even without knowing it."
Seungmin looked toward Chan. "We'll be recognized if we go in full form. Should we descend as humans?"
"We'll have to," Chan nodded. "We protect him from the shadows if we must. But we don't leave him unguarded."
"He's important to all of us," Jinye said. "But... Hyunjin, you must stay closest to him."
Hyunjin's eyes widened slightly. "Why me?"
"Because it's already begun," Jinye said, stepping closer. "Your souls are tied. His light called to yours. You've felt it already, haven't you? That stirring in your chest the last few nights?"
Hyunjin didn't speak, but the look in his eyes answered for him.
Jisung exhaled slowly. "Well. This just got interesting."
Minho crossed his arms. "Let the demons try. They'll learn quickly what happens when they threaten something we've claimed."
Chan gave a soft smile, one that didn't reach his eyes. "Then it's settled. We descend."
Jinye's voice rang through the chamber, a whisper and a vow all at once. "Protect him. No matter what. He is the brightest star we've ever seen. And if he falls, the heavens fall with him."
Hyunjin looked up at the distant stars that shimmered above them. Somewhere down below, a human boy named Felix was about to change everything.
The sky above Seoul cracked with invisible thunder as the seven celestial beings descended, cloaked in mortal forms but still brimming with divine presence. The moment their feet touched the ground, the air around them shimmered. They landed in an alley behind a crumbling apartment complex, drawn by the flickering pulse of light that was Felix.
