"Felix is the heartbeat of Stray Kids, and they wouldn't have it any other way."
The thunder cracked outside the practice room windows, and Felix flinched, his whole body giving a jolt as he tried to focus on the choreography. Chan noticed immediately, pausing the music with a swift tap on the speaker.
"You okay, Lix?" Chan asked, wiping sweat from his forehead, already stepping toward him.
Felix bit his lip, his gaze flicking toward the stormy window. "Y-Yeah," he whispered, though his voice trembled and his shoulders were drawn tight.
Changbin eyed him closely. "You don't look okay. You're turning pale."
"I'm fine," Felix muttered, but another roll of thunder rumbled so loudly it rattled the mirrors. He let out a soft whimper and hunched forward, hands over his ears.
Minho exchanged a glance with Hyunjin. "Let's call a break," he said quickly, nodding at Chan.
The boys scattered to grab water bottles and towels, but Felix didn't move. Instead, he slowly lowered himself to the floor and curled in on himself. And then—right in front of Chan's eyes—his body shimmered with a faint golden light. His limbs shortened, his clothes shifting to fit his much smaller form. In a matter of seconds, their adult-sized Felix was gone.
A tiny, toddler-sized Felix sat in his place, knees pulled to his chest, his oversized sweatshirt nearly swallowing his little form.
Chan knelt beside him immediately, heart clenching. "Lixie," he said softly, brushing hair out of the small boy's face.
Felix blinked up at him with watery, wide eyes. "L-Loud... s-scary boom-boom," he mumbled, his voice high and small now, trembling just like his hands.
Chan didn't hesitate. He scooped Felix into his arms with practiced care and sat back, cradling him in his lap. "It's okay, baby. You're safe. I got you."
Minho dropped to his knees beside them, his eyes softening as he took in the toddler-sized Felix now nestled against Chan's chest. "Aw, Lixie," he murmured, rubbing gentle circles on Felix's back. "Was the boom-boom too much for you?"
Felix nodded against Chan's shoulder, tiny fingers clinging to the collar of Chan's shirt. "No like da loud. Hurt my ears..."
Hyunjin appeared beside them, rummaging quickly through his dance bag. "Hang on, baby," he said, pulling out a soft plush bunny. "Bun-bun missed you."
Felix peeked out just enough to see the toy and reached for it with a sniffle. "Bun-bun..." he whispered, clutching it to his chest.
Jisung dropped down nearby and pulled out his phone. "Let's find your sleepy songs, huh?" he said gently. "No more boom-booms, just soft music now."
Felix gave a slow, tiny nod, still curled up in Chan's lap as the plushie sat tucked under his chin.
Chan kissed the top of his head. "Good boy. We're here, sweetheart. All of us."
"Safe wif Channie," Felix whispered, barely audible.
Seungmin brought over one of the studio blankets and carefully wrapped it around Felix's tiny shoulders. "Safe with all your hyungs," he added with a smile.
Jeongin sat down cross-legged and held out a juice box with a little bendy straw. "Here, Lixie. Apple juice, just the way you like it."
Felix's eyes lit up slightly. He reached for it with both hands, poking the straw into his mouth and sipping quietly. "Tank oo, Innie."
The storm outside still grumbled, but inside the room, things had softened. The boys sat in a circle around their little one, their focus entirely on the toddler-sized Felix resting in Chan's arms.
