"They thought omegas were lost forever—until the storm delivered their missing piece."

The wind howled like a beast, lashing through the trees with teeth of ice and rain. Thunder cracked overhead, loud enough to rattle bones.

"Chan! We need to find shelter now!" Minho shouted over the storm, his voice sharp even in the chaos.

"I know!" Chan's wolf form turned sharply, his eyes glowing amber as he scanned the forest. "There—northwest. I smell dry rock."

The pack followed without hesitation—seven alphas, sleek and powerful in their wolf forms, moving as one through the downpour. Branches slapped their sides, mud caked their paws, but none of them stopped. Not until they reached the mouth of a cave hidden behind a curtain of moss and stone.

One by one, they padded inside, shaking off the water. Their forms shimmered, bones cracking and reshaping as they shifted back to human. Soaked and dripping, but unbothered.

Hyunjin flopped onto a dry patch of rock, breathing hard. "That storm came out of nowhere. We're not gonna be able to track anything in that mess."

Changbin rubbed his neck, glancing at Chan. "We waiting it out here, Alpha?"

Chan nodded, pushing wet hair from his face. "Yeah. No use risking injury."

Jisung yawned and plopped down beside Seungmin, who was wringing water from his shirt. "Honestly? Not mad about it. I like the vibe. Cozy."

Jeongin, the youngest, was squinting into the cave's deeper shadows. "Wait. Do you guys smell that?"

All seven froze.

A scent drifted to them—faint, but unmistakable. Sweet. Fragile. Omega.

"No," Seungmin said under his breath. "That's not possible."

"It can't be," Hyunjin whispered.

Chan's eyes narrowed. "Stay close. Move slow."

They crept deeper into the cave, silent as death. As the shadows thickened, they saw it—a figure curled in the corner, barely more than a skeleton wrapped in torn cloth. Hair matted, skin streaked with dirt. But the scent... gods, the scent.

"Alpha," Minho said, voice tight. "That's our mate."

The figure stirred, blinking groggily as if from a dream. Big, sunken eyes stared up at them. Fear flickered in his expression, but he didn't move.

Chan crouched, speaking gently. "Hey. What's your name?"

"...Felix," came the soft reply. His voice was hoarse, barely more than a whisper.

"How long have you been here, Felix?" Changbin asked.

Felix looked confused. "I—I got lost... three winters ago, I think? I couldn't find my way out."

Jeongin's brow furrowed. "You've been in this cave for three years?"

Felix nodded slowly, shivering. "Why? What's wrong?"

Chan swallowed hard. "Omegas... betas... there was an illness. A virus. It wiped them out two years ago. You shouldn't exist."

Felix's eyes widened, terror blooming in his chest. "I... I didn't know."

Seungmin knelt beside him. "You're the first omega we've seen since. We thought they were all gone."

"And you're ours," Hyunjin added softly. "We can feel it."

Felix shook his head, weakly. "I don't... understand..."

Chan leaned closer, warmth and strength radiating from him. "You don't have to yet. But you're not alone anymore."
