"Fated mates. Found family. Forever love."

The forest was still, shadows pooling between the trees as the moonlight filtered through the canopy. Jeongin's ears twitched, nose tilted toward the breeze.

"I smell blood," he muttered, coming to a sudden stop.

Hyunjin's eyes narrowed as he joined his patrol partner's side. "You sure?"

"Positive. It's fresh. Come on." Jeongin darted forward, weaving through the trees with Hyunjin right behind him.

It didn't take long to find the source.

"Oh my god," Hyunjin gasped, skidding to a halt. "Jeongin—he's an omega."

The body curled up at the base of a tree was small, barely clothed, and soaked in blood and mud. His limbs trembled despite his unconscious state, and there were deep gashes across his back and arms.

"He's breathing," Jeongin said, kneeling down carefully. "But barely. We can't move him like this."

Hyunjin grabbed his communicator from his belt. "I'm calling Seungmin. Tell him to bring supplies—maybe even Chan-hyung. This isn't just a rogue."

Back at the den, Seungmin's brow furrowed as he listened.

"Injured omega, deep in the east woods?" he repeated, already gathering bandages. "Alright. I'm on my way."

Chan looked up from his desk, eyes sharp. "What happened?"

"Hyunjin and Jeongin found someone badly hurt. Omega. They want me to check if he's stable enough to move."

Chan stood without hesitation. "I'm coming."

Seungmin blinked. "Are you sure? If it's serious, your energy—"

"I said I'm coming."

Back in the forest, the moment Chan crossed into the clearing, his body locked up.

The scent hit him like a thunderclap—soft, warm, sweet and familiar in a way he couldn't explain. It cut through the blood and dirt like sunlight through fog.

"What the hell..." he whispered, stepping closer. "Who is he?"

Hyunjin looked over his shoulder. "We haven't gotten a name yet. He's out cold."

Jeongin eyed Chan curiously. "You okay, hyung? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"No," Chan said quietly, kneeling down beside the omega. "He's not a ghost. He's mine."

Everyone froze.

"...What?"

Chan exhaled shakily, brushing a lock of matted hair from the boy's face. "He's my mate."

The next morning, soft groans filled the den's infirmary.

Felix blinked slowly, panic rising as unfamiliar scents surrounded him. He tried to sit up but winced, hand clutching his ribs.

"You're safe," a calm voice said nearby. Seungmin.

Felix flinched. "Where...?"

"You were found in our territory. You're with the Stray Kids pack now."

Footsteps approached, heavier, more charged.

Felix looked up—and his eyes locked with Chan's.

Something fluttered deep in his chest. Warm, strange, instinctive.

"Why..." Felix's voice cracked. "Why do I feel like I know you?"

Chan stepped closer, gaze gentle but intense. "Because we're mates."
