"He left too soon... but love gave him one more chance to stay."

"Hyung?"

The small voice was barely a whisper, soft as a feather falling in a quiet room. It came from the little boy standing just inside the JYP practice room doorway, wide brown eyes blinking up at the seven exhausted idols. He was wearing a too-big hoodie that dragged past his knees, and his golden curls framed his round cheeks like a halo.

Chan blinked. "Uh... did someone's kid get lost?"

The others turned, heads tilting. Hyunjin frowned. "Where'd he come from?"

The little boy waddled closer, arms raised like he expected to be picked up. "Channie hyung!" he squeaked with a bright giggle. "Pick me up now, pwease! You always do when I say dat."

"What?" Chan blinked again, stunned. "I—I've never seen you before, kiddo..."

"Yes you did!" Felix said confidently. "I wived wif you and Minmin and Binnie and Jinnie and all my hyungs! You 'dopted me. I sweep in your bed when I had nightmares and Seungminie hyung made me choco milk when I cried."

Jisung leaned toward Minho, whispering, "Did one of you drink expired energy drinks again, or am I hallucinating a toddler?"

"Not just you," Minho said slowly, arms crossed, watching the child carefully. "Hey, kid... what's your name?"

"Fee-wix!" the little boy chirped. "But you call me Lixie. Or baby. Or angel. Or 'my tiny rascal' when I color on da couch." He pointed accusingly at Changbin. "You said 'you lucky you cute' but you still made me sit in da corner."

"...What?" Changbin's jaw dropped.

"You know me," Felix insisted, stomping his little foot. "I was here six monfs! But den I got gone. An' you all got so sad. You don't smile no more. You just dance but don't sing no more. No joy. No more happy."

The room fell quiet. Jeongin looked visibly uncomfortable, shifting closer to Seungmin like the air had gotten colder.

"How do you know all of that?" Seungmin asked carefully, kneeling in front of the toddler. "Are you... someone's sibling? Did someone talk about us to you?"

"No." Felix shook his head so hard his curls bounced. "I died."

A silence followed so thick it could've cracked the mirrors.

"I died," Felix repeated solemnly, little fingers bunching in his sleeves. "Dere was a bad 'ccident. I got squished. I was s'pposed to go. But someone heard my cry in da dark. Dey said, 'One more chance. Go back.' And now I back! I get to wuv you more and stop da accident and stay wif you!"

Hyunjin looked completely pale. "This is... too much."

"No it's not!" Felix chirped brightly, then spun around and launched into a shockingly accurate—albeit tiny—version of the "Maniac" chorus choreography. His stubby legs wobbled through each beat, and when he finished, he clapped and looked around proudly. "See? I know da dances! I used to copy you all the time! Channie hyung say I was da cutest backup dancer ever!"

Chan looked like he'd been struck by lightning. "No one outside the team has seen that version of the choreography... it wasn't never released."

"Cuz you showed it to me when I had bad day! You said I was part of da team even if I small!" Felix grinned, beaming. "Wanna see my freeze too?" He promptly flopped to the floor, trying to pose like Changbin mid-rap with exaggerated seriousness.

"Oh my god." Jisung whispered. "How does he...?"

"Wait," Jeongin said slowly, staring at the little boy. "Where's our candy stash?"
