"He came from the future to save the only family he ever knew."

"Alright, from the top!" Chan called, clapping his hands as the music cued up again in the massive rehearsal hall. The other members of Stray Kids spread out, breathing heavily from the last run-through but determined to get the choreography tighter before tonight's stage check.

Jisung stretched his arms over his head, groaning. "Can we please have a water break first? My legs are melting."

"You always say that," Seungmin muttered, already gulping from his bottle.

Changbin bounced on the balls of his feet. "C'mon, it's just one more. Then we eat."

Hyunjin flopped dramatically to the ground. "I will die. You will have to carry my beautiful corpse to the van."

Jeongin giggled. "Hyung, your hair isn't even sweaty. You're fine."

Minho rolled his eyes, cracking his neck. "Let's get it over with. Chan'll just make us do it again if we whine."

"Exactly," Chan said with a pointed look. "Positions!"

They moved quickly into place. The music kicked off.

But before they could hit their first move, the lights overhead flickered—and then a sudden blinding flash of light burst at center stage, sharp and hot and white like lightning with no sound. All seven froze.

"What the hell?" Jisung shouted, shielding his eyes.

The light pulsed once, then disappeared as fast as it came. In its place, right where the spotlight usually hit during their intro, sat a small figure.

A toddler.

He had fluffy blond curls, a blue onesie with clouds on it, chubby legs tucked beneath him, and wide brown eyes blinking in confusion. A tiny stuffed bunny was clutched in his arms. Around his neck, a delicate silver chain glinted—"Felix," it read in small cursive letters.

The room went completely silent.

The toddler squinted at them, then suddenly brightened. "Channie!!" he shrieked joyfully, scrambling to his feet in a wobbly run and holding out his arms.

Chan blinked. "Wh—huh?"

Before he could move, the toddler slammed into his legs and hugged him tight, face squishing into Chan's thigh.

"Missed you sooo much," the little one mumbled, burying his nose in Chan's pants. "You smells like cuddles."

"Is this a prank?" Seungmin whispered.

"No, seriously, is someone filming us right now?" Hyunjin asked, glancing around.

Chan crouched slowly, gently lifting the child into his arms. "Hey, little guy. What's your name?"

"Fee-fee," he said proudly. "But you says 'Lixie'. You says it lots."

"Lixie?" Chan repeated, stunned.

"Yuh-huh." Felix tucked his head under Chan's chin. "You da bestest. You sing me night songs."

The others gathered around, staring with wide eyes.

"Where did he even come from?" Jisung asked. "He literally just appeared outta nowhere."

"Did he fall from the ceiling?" Jeongin murmured. "There's no trapdoor or anything, right?"

"He's wearing a necklace," Minho said, leaning in. "Felix. That's what it says. Same name."

Changbin crouched in front of him. "Hey, buddy. You know us?"
