"He thought he was alone in the world—until fate introduced him to family, music, and love."

"Did you see that?!" Jisung shouted, already breaking into a sprint.

"Shit—someone just got hit!" Changbin yelled, right behind him.

They all ran, feet pounding against the pavement, hearts racing as the car's red tail lights disappeared into the distance.

"Oh my god," Hyunjin breathed as they crowded around the unmoving figure on the street. "He's not... is he...?"

"He's breathing," Jeongin said quickly, kneeling beside him. "Barely."

Minho reached out and gently moved the boy's hair from his face. "He's so young... and—freckles?" He blinked, stunned.

Chan rifled through the boy's jacket pocket. "We need to know who he is... there!" He pulled out a small wallet and flipped it open. "Felix Lee," he read aloud. "Australian ID."

"Call an ambulance!" Seungmin said urgently. "Now!"

"I already did," Jisung said, holding his phone to his ear. "They're almost here!"

When the sirens blared minutes later, Minho stood and stepped back, only to move with them as the EMTs loaded Felix into the back of the ambulance.

"Which one of you's going with him?" the medic asked.

"I am," Minho said without hesitation. "I'll go."

They didn't argue. Just nodded and watched as the doors slammed shut behind Minho.

When the others arrived at the hospital, they found Minho standing with a doctor just outside an ICU room.

"How is he?" Chan asked immediately.

Minho's face was tight. "Stable. But... he's in a coma. Head trauma."

Hyunjin covered his mouth with his hand. "God..."

Jisung looked down at his feet. "He looked so small out there. So fragile."

Chan put a steadying hand on Seungmin's shoulder, then looked to Minho. "He's in the best place now. Let's go home. We'll come back in the morning."

Minho shook his head. "I'm not leaving."

"Minho—"

"No," Minho said, turning to the doctor. "Can I stay with him?"

The doctor looked surprised, then gave a nod. "You can. Just... try not to disturb the equipment."

They followed Minho down the hallway in silence until they reached Felix's room. A nurse looked up as they entered.

"You're here for Felix Lee?" she asked softly. "He's in a coma, but we've found that sometimes, patients can hear what's going on around them. You can talk to him if you'd like. It might help."

When she left, the room felt too quiet, too sterile.

Minho moved to the side of the bed and gently reached for Felix's hand. "Hey, Felix," he said, voice low. "You don't know me. We've never met. But you're not alone, okay? I'm gonna stay here. I'm gonna be right here until you wake up."

Chan leaned against the wall, arms crossed, eyes thoughtful. "Minho... what's going on? You've never done this before."

"I don't know," Minho murmured. "There's just something about him. I need to be here when he wakes up."

Hyunjin sank into one of the chairs by the window. "Do you think he has family here?"

"His ID said he's Australian," Seungmin replied. "Probably no one local."
