"He came with nothing. He gave them everything."

"Hyung, I said I got it!"

"Jeongin, he's burning up. He's getting worse. You don't got anything."

Jeongin shifted Felix in his arms, stubbornly ignoring Seungmin's glare from the hallway. "He's just tired. That's all."

"He's burning up," Seungmin muttered, arms crossed. "You didn't even tell anyone where you were going. You came back with a whole human."

Jeongin didn't answer. Felix's head rested limply on his shoulder, curls damp with sweat. His tiny fists clutched the back of Jeongin's hoodie, and his breathing was uneven, soft little whimpers escaping every so often.

"I'm not telling Hyung," Jeongin said.

"Okay," Seungmin replied immediately. "But when he finds out, I'm not covering for you. I already have an ulcer."

"You don't have an ulcer."

"I will after this."

Felix let out a weak cough. Jeongin looked down quickly. "It's okay, Lixie. I'm here."

"M' head huwt," Felix mumbled, rubbing at his eyes with a whine.

"I know, I know. Shh, it's okay. Just rest, buddy."

"You don't know what you're doing," Seungmin said, softer now. "You're panicking."

Jeongin's eyes stayed on Felix. "He was alone. In the park. No shoes. Just... just sitting there."

"I'm not saying leave him," Seungmin replied, stepping closer. "I'm saying you're not a doctor. And we have one of those thermometers with the beepy thing. You didn't even check his temp."

Jeongin clenched his jaw. "I didn't know what to do."

"I know," Seungmin said gently. "That's why you should call Chan-hyung."

"No. He'll—he'll be mad. He'll say I'm irresponsible, or dumb, or—"

"He won't."

"He will. He still calls me 'baby' in front of girls."

"You are the baby."

"Not anymore," Jeongin muttered.

Another cough shook Felix's tiny frame. His cheeks were flushed red and his skin felt hot, too hot. Jeongin's throat tightened.

"Jeonginnie," Felix whimpered, burying his face into Jeongin's neck.

"Yeah, Lixie?"

"I wan' go home."

Jeongin blinked fast. "You... where is home, buddy? Can you tell me?"

Felix didn't answer. Just sucked in a shaky breath and coughed again.

"I'm calling Hyung," Seungmin said.

"No, wait—wait, please," Jeongin said quickly, moving toward the couch. "Just... help me. You're good with fevers, right? You always take care of Changbin when he's sick."

"That's because Changbin listens," Seungmin muttered, but he moved toward the bathroom. "I'll get the thermometer and a cold cloth. Then you're calling Chan-hyung."

Jeongin sat carefully on the couch with Felix still in his lap. "It's okay," he whispered, brushing Felix's curls away from his forehead. "You're okay, I got you."

Felix blinked up at him, his eyes watery and half-closed. "You m' daddy?"

Jeongin's breath caught. "No, buddy. I'm... I'm Jeongin."
