"He was just supposed to stay for a while... but the Puppy Pack became his forever home."
Seonghwa paced the length of the room, arms crossed tightly over his chest. His older brother instincts were kicking in hard, and leaving Felix behind—even temporarily—felt like cutting off a limb.
"You want us to what?" Chan leaned back in his chair, raising a brow as he exchanged looks with Minho and Changbin.
"Watch over Felix," Hongjoong repeated, voice calm but firm. "We'll be gone for a while, and dragging him along isn't an option. He needs stability, not constant travel."
Felix, sitting cross-legged on the couch, played with a stuffed fox in his lap, humming quietly to himself. His soft, golden hair flopped into his eyes, and he absently puffed air at it instead of brushing it away.
Minho sighed. "It's not that we don't want to, but... Felix is different. He's innocent. We're not exactly known for our soft touch."
"Puppy pack!" Felix chirped suddenly, looking up with bright eyes.
Seonghwa softened instantly, ruffling Felix's hair. "Yes, sweetheart, you'll be staying with the puppy pack for a bit. Would you like that?"
Felix blinked, then turned to Stray Kids with a wide grin. "Puppies are nice!"
Jisung snorted. "I think we just got reduced to pets."
Hongjoong smirked. "If the shoe fits."
Chan exhaled, rubbing his temples. "Fine. He can stay with us." He shot Seonghwa a serious look. "But if something happens, if he gets scared or uncomfortable, we call you immediately."
"Of course." Seonghwa knelt in front of Felix, cupping his face gently. "You'll be safe with them, baby. You remember what we talked about?"
Felix nodded, voice dropping to a whisper. "Be good, listen to the big brothers, use my words if I need help."
Seonghwa kissed his forehead. "That's right. And if you ever feel scared, you can call me, okay?"
"Okay, Hwa-hwa." Felix giggled, then looked at Chan. "Can I have choco milk?"
Changbin blinked. "What?"
Seungmin groaned. "Oh, we are so doomed."
Once at Stray Kids house, Felix padded into the large penthouse, eyes wide with curiosity. He clutched his stuffed fox tightly, fingers kneading the soft fabric as he peeked around at the unfamiliar space.
Chan ran a hand through his hair, already feeling a headache coming on. "Alright, ground rules—"
"Choco milk?" Felix asked again, tilting his head.
Jisung chuckled, leaning against the kitchen counter. "Kid's got priorities."
Minho sighed but headed toward the fridge, muttering under his breath. "This is gonna be a nightmare."
Felix gasped. "No bad words!" He wagged a tiny finger at Minho, who froze mid-step.
Hyunjin burst into laughter. "Oh, I like him."
Minho turned, narrowing his eyes. "Did you just scold me?"
Felix nodded seriously. "Hwa-hwa says bad words make ears sad."
Seungmin leaned over to Jeongin, whispering, "We need to record this. Minho just got put in his place by a little."
Jeongin smirked. "I think I love this kid already."
Minho sighed dramatically but continued pouring the chocolate milk. He set the cup down in front of Felix, watching as the younger boy picked it up with both hands, sipping contentedly.
