"He thought he was too shattered to be loved—until love became his home."
The scent of coffee and dominance thickened the air in the council hall. Felix moved silently, head bowed, tray trembling in his hands. The omegas always served, and he'd learned long ago to keep his eyes low and his voice gone.
"Careful there, servant," his pack's alpha growled from the table, not even glancing at him. Felix murmured something that wasn't really a word and stepped toward the visiting pack.
Stray Kids sat across the room—seven powerful alphas, the air around them calm but sharp. Their unity made other packs uneasy. Chan, seated at the center, gave Felix a polite nod when the omega approached.
"Thank you," Chan said quietly as Felix poured his drink. His tone wasn't commanding, just... kind. Felix's hands shook harder. No one ever thanked him.
Then his wrist twitched. The cup tilted. Hot liquid spilled over Chan's sleeve.
Felix froze.
"I— I'm sorry—"
The crack of a whip against his back sent him forward. The rival pack's enforcer grabbed his shoulder, shoving him to the ground.
"Clumsy little thing," the alpha sneered, raising the whip again.
"Enough," Chan said sharply.
But the man ignored him, tightening his grip on Felix's arm until he cried out.
A deep growl split the air.
"Let him go," Minho's voice was low, dangerous.
The enforcer laughed. "Not your concern."
It happened too fast. Minho's chair scraped back, his control snapped, and the sound that came from him wasn't human anymore. His body tore into his wolf form, fur black as smoke, eyes blazing white. The room erupted in shouts as other wolves shifted to defend themselves, but Minho's fury was unmatched—swift, brutal, protective.
Chan's command echoed through the chaos. "Minho—stop!"
And just like that, the wolf stilled. His claws dripped with blood, his chest heaving. Around him, the threat lay dead.
Minho turned back, trembling as his form shrank, skin replacing fur. He reached Felix just as the omega's legs gave out.
"Hey—hey, I've got you," Minho whispered, catching him.
Felix's eyes fluttered open for a second, glassy and confused. "Why... why would you—"
"Because you're ours," Minho breathed, not even sure what he meant, only that it was true.
The others closed in quickly, shielding them from the stunned hall.
"Hyunjin, check him," Chan ordered once they were home, Felix pale and barely breathing on the couch.
Hyunjin's hands glowed faintly as he worked. "He's weak. Starved. The whip marks are fading. And—" His eyes widened. "There's something else... his body's rejecting—no, he's losing something. A pup."
Jisung's breath hitched. "He didn't even know?"
"No," Hyunjin whispered. "He's been alone and abused too long."
Chan knelt beside them, voice steady but shaking at the edges. "Not anymore."
Felix woke to warmth.
Soft blankets, quiet voices—none of it made sense. The last thing he remembered was the floor, the shouting, and a pair of arms catching him before the darkness swallowed everything.
