The walk from the limo to the church was short but the reporters yelling out questions, civilians calling out, and the endless amount of photos and videos being taken; made it feel longer than it actually was. By the time they made it inside, both Eva and Yeonjun had growing head aches.

"Im so sorry, we didn't know this much people would show up" Soobin apologizes to the royal duo. Eva smiles at him.

"It's okay, you couldn't have possibly known," and she was right. Even when King Damians' father passed away, not nearly this many people came around.

Eva removes her trench coat, and immediately, a guard comes to take it from her. Her dark sunglasses are still on her face despite them being inside now.

"I'm going to go find the pope and figure out where to begin. The two of you please take your time to get settled, I know it's all overwhelming" Soobin bows before taking his leave, adjusting his tie as he walks away.

Yeonjun is relieved to have Soobin at the moment. Somebody who he can trust and has his best interests in mind.

"He's a blessing" Eva expresses as she let's her hair down; tucking a strand of hair behind her ear before crossing her arms over her chest.

Yeonjun nods his head in agreement and that's as far as their interaction goes. Eva staring ahead with a stoic face while Yeonjun takes in the surrounds of the church. The sum beaming through the stained glass bringing color all around.

Yeonjun dares to look at Eva. She's no longer crying but he feels like it would be better if she were. At least then he would know what to do.

When someone is crying you know to hold them and tell them everything will be okay, but when they're silently breaking where do you start? What if she's already shattered? What should he do? Would he even be able to help? Does she even want help?

"Grandma! Dad!" A little prince emerges from the church halls with Jae behind him. Tears pool in his eyes, and he runs straight to his dad. The poor child had been a wreck since the Kings passing and it was evident from his puffy eyes and red blotchy face.

The two share a much needed embrace "Hey" Yeonjun whispers. Seeing his son relieved his anxiety immensely, he's so thankful.

"Your majesty's," Jae bows

"Don't do that" Yeonjun commanded. Meanwhile, Jii separates himself from his dad and runs to his grandma. He looks up at her with teary eyes, unsure if hugging her is appropriate right now.

Eva smiles and caresses his cheek with her hand.

"It's so lovely to see you" Eva confesses, and the little prince manages to smile; putting his own hand over hers.

Jae and Yeonjun both smile at the endearing interaction before they lock eyes.

"Your majesty-" Jae starts "-surely you must be overwhelmed from your travels, maybe it would be best if you and Jae went out into the garden for some fresh air before we begin with the funeral preparations" he suggests.

Eva nods her head "It does sound nice"

Jii beams with excitement and leads her away by the hand that he's already holding. Guards close behind them, leaving alone Jae and Yeonjun.

"I'm so-" Jae is cut off before he could finish his sentence.

"Are you apologizing for the kings death or for betraying me?" Yeonjun immediately regrets his words when he sees his dad flinch.

The now soon to be king sighs and rubs his face "I told myself I wouldn't be mean"

"Its okay, I understand."
