"Wow, it's beautiful." Yeonjun is awestruck with his current environment, the castle library. High bookshelves with their own ladders and aisles that made the prince feel like he could get lost in them. He couldn't, but he wouldn't mind if he did, especially since he's with Beomgyu.
The photographer picks up a book to look at the art work on the cover "Anthology" was painted in orange on the front of a quite regular looking brown hard cover book, but you could feel the brush strokes of the cover. This catches the photographers eye, and he flips to a random page. Impressively, each flower was hand painted in with the same type of thick brush strokes!
"You should really start taking in the beauty of your environment." Beomgyu continues to look through the pages of the book.
"How much of these books have you read?" The prince asks Beomgyu. The question brings a slight smile from the photographer.
"Unfortunately, I don't really do much reading. I'm mainly just in here to look at the covers."
"Why? You used to always read back at the capitol, " the prince questions to which Beomgyu replies first with a shrug.
"It kind of just happened, and by the time I realized it, I was too busy." Beomgyu says this nonchalant, but the prince could see a brief moment of bother in the eyes of the photographer
"I don't really dance anymore either. No castle ever has a dance studio." The Prince chuckles awkwardly.
"You don't need a dance studio to dance." Beomgyu balances the book on top of his head, and, impressively, he begins dance shuffling; still keeping the book balanced.
"HOW DO YOU DO THAT?"
"I can show you, but if you're gonna learn, we should probably go somewhere more open." Beomgyu gestures to the tight aisles and heaps of books.
"We can go to the ballroom."
"Lead the way, your majesty." Beomgyu goes to return the book but halts right before he slides it back into the shelves. He looks at the cover once more before he opens the satchel hanging across his body and carefully places the book with his other things. "I think I'll get into reading this later,"
"Good idea" The prince stares a Beomgyu for a moment and right before the photographer opens his mouth to ask what his problem was, he's kissed hastily on the side of the head by his majesty; who then begins a dash out of the library.
"Wha-" Beomgyu touches the spot where he was kissed. "-WAIT I DONT KNOW WHERE THE BALLROOM IS." He runs after the prince who keeps a steady pace ahead of him.
Almost like a game of cat and mouse; the prince would turn a corner, and Beomgyu would follow close behind, never fully catching up.
Yeonjun looks back every so often with a playful smile, never leaving his mouth. At first, the photographer was annoyed, but he quickly found amusement in the chase.
His arms would outstretch to reach for the prince, so many times he came close to grabbing him, but the prince would pick up his pace just in the nick of time.
There was a sense of fulfillment from the prince with this game, for once Beomgyu is chasing after him, and not vice versa. Their laughs and heavy breaths echo off of the walls, their heavy footsteps were unsynched and sloppy, all together it was a song that would be engraved in their hearts.
One last time, the prince turns a corner, but when Beomgyu turns, he's found at an empty dead end. It takes a moment for his body to come to a halt. He's catching his breath and looking around for the prince. The end of this hallways wasn't lit, and the only light is emitting from the windows.
