~Entry #3 for 2039~
~Tonight around 8 pm~
~What happened:~
"No, I will not "make" your mom give your phone back."
I groaned. "Dad, I told you, it was an honest mistake!"
"Stop trying to plead your case. I heard you out. The answer is no." He said.
"But-"
"That's it. Go to your room."
"Dad!"
"Go to your room."
"I didn't even say anything wrong!" I said, feeling the injustice.
"Would you prefer to be grounded?" He asked lightly.
I know he's joking. He hasn't lost his patience yet. "Dad, I'm NOT going to my room until you tell me why!"
"Because you're giving attitude."
I rolled my eyes. "YOU said there wasn't any point in cleaning the floors since they get dirty again anyway."
"That was a joke, and you know it. Besides, your mom asked you to sweep this floor, so you should've done it." He said.
"Well it didn't look dirty."
"You were being rude!" He said.
"Well, it's nothing personal! I would've said the same thing to you if you told me to do that. It just happened to be mom, and she took it the wrong way!" I explained.
"Yeah right. What did you say again?" He asked.
I sighed. "I SAAAID: "If you think it's dirty YOU can clean it, because it looks fine to me.""
"And which part of that wasn't rude?" He asked.
I huffed. "I KNOW it sounded rude, but I didn't mean it to be rude. She just got defensive right away."
He gave me the side eye. "Oh? So she just got "defensive" for absolutely no reason ya think?" He asked sarcastically.
"YES, in fact she did." I retorted.
"Explain that to me."
"She got annoyed and took my phone away." I pouted.
He raised his eyebrows. "Wow. That's horrible. I almost feel sorry for you. Now GET YOUR BUTT in your room." He ordered.
"DAD!" I growled. "The floor really wasn't dirty, and I know that, because I swept it yesterday, and I looked at it today and there wasn't even a spec of dirt. And stupid mom's being difficult, not me!" I spat out angrily.
Suddenly he grabbed my arm, pulling me toward him. "Say that again. I dare you."
"I'm not being difficult, SHE IS!" I spat again.
The next 2 seconds were a blur. Dad pulled me to the corner so fast, it felt like teleporting.
He took a dollar from his pocket and smacked it against the wall aggressively.
I flinched from the sound.
"Put your nose here. 15 minutes. If this Loonie falls, you'll be sweeping this floor TWICE a day for a month."
He purposely put it higher than my nose so I'd have to stretch my neck. I furrowed my brows and gave him the side eye. "Put it lower." I demanded.
He shook his head and waited for me to lean forward.
I didn't budge.
After about a minute I could tell his arm was getting tired of holding it there.
He tried to push me toward the wall but I put my hands against it and pushed myself away.
