Poppy scurried around the house nervously, trying to get everything ready.
Teddie watched with his arms crossed over his chest. Finally, he got fed up. He went to find his dad.
"Dad!" He called out, opening their bedroom door unannounced. He heard the shower running in their bathroom. He marched forward, barging into the bathroom. "Dad!" He called angrily.
"What?! Geez." Hyunjin responded, muffled by the water.
"You literally wouldn't even let me text girls that gave me their numbers, and now you're letting Poppy have a boyfriend at 17? Have you gone insane?!" Teddie spat.
Hyunjin groaned. "I'm not letting her have a boyfriend!" He said sharply.
"Uhh, let's see, she texts him, calls him, and now is inviting him over." Teddie said. "Sounds like a boyfriend to me."
"Taeho-yah, I appreciate your concern, but if you would just back off and let me parent my own child, that would be nice." Hyunjin said, scrubbing his face roughly.
"Excuse me? I literally would never have been allowed to do what you're letting Poppy do."
"The girls who asked for your number were so obvious! They made it clear to you that they liked you romantically! You were still allowed to have friends that were girls. You texted them. You hung out with them everyday after school."
"Only in groups!" Teddie screeched.
"Poppy is only going to be allowed to hang out with this boy in groups, too."
"But you know very well that he likes her!" He scoffed.
"I'll see what he's all about." Hyunjin sighed.
"Dad you-"
"TEDDIE! I can't very well say to your sister that she can't have this friend until I see for myself what's going on! Does that sound reasonable to you?!" He growled.
"I'm telling you, he has bad intentions!"
"I'm not saying you're wrong! But if I just say "no" to something rather than set boundaries, Poppy isn't going to respond well."
"How do you know?" Teddie spat.
Hyunjin slid the shower door open just enough to peek out and glare at Teddie. "Have you met your sister?" He growled.
Teddie sighed. "Fine." He said, turning and walking out.

"Scoutie, the girl I met in London named Jade, the guy I met there named Jet, and then Sylvan, and Minam, too. Minyeo isn't coming because she already had plans with Auntie Mirae to go to this live musical thing." Poppy explained, following JoJo around the kitchen.
"That sounds like a fun group of friends." JoJo smiled.
Poppy nodded excitedly.
"And what are you gonna do together?" JoJo asked.
"Umm. Well, I dunno what everyone will want to do. Maybe watch a movie? Maybe karaoke? Maybe a board game? Maybe just listen to music and eat snacks? Or we could do all those things at once. I dunno." Poppy said, sounding slightly nervous.
JoJo smiled. "Don't worry, they'll have fun."
Poppy sighed. "Well, it's gonna be kinda awkward. Oppa is already mad. And Daddy's gonna interrogate Jet."
