"Wolfie. Sit down, please." Jeongin said sternly.

"I want to play." Wolf said, pointing at his toys.

"We didn't finish your writing." Jeongin sighed.

"I don't like writing." Wolf said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"It can be fun. You're getting better every day. But you have to keep practicing." Jeongin tried to reason.

Wolf shook his head and went over to his toys, quickly distracting himself with them.

"Wolf." Jeongin said sternly, trying to imitate his own dad's voice. "I said no. You can't play right now."

Wolf completely ignored him.

Jeongin got up and went to take the stuffed zebra that was in Wolf's hand.

Wolf stomped his feet and glared at Jeongin.

Jeongin went and put it on top of the fridge.

Wolf turned defiantly and pulled out another toy from the box.

"If you don't put that down and finish your writing, that toy will get taken away too." Jeongin warned.

Wolf blocked out the sound of Jeongin's voice.

Jeongin went over and confiscated it promptly.

Wolf laid down on the floor, staring up at the ceiling.

"You're not allowed to play right now." Jeongin said.

"Fine." Wolf whispered. He started making shapes on the ceiling, totally unfazed by Jeongin's attempts at punishment.

Jeongin sighed, feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

For the last month, Wolf had been getting comfortable. Too comfortable.

Before, Jeongin could use praise to motivate Wolf. Or he could just pick the kid up and bring him to where he was supposed to be.

But lately, those things weren't working. If Wolf didn't want to do something, he simply wouldn't do it.

He didn't care about getting toys taken away. He was used to not having toys, so he just played in his imagination.

He didn't care about time out at all.

In fact, every single time he got put in time out, he willing sat there, not making a fuss, and as soon as the timer went off and Jeongin went to take him out of time out, Wolf didn't care.
