*thump thump thump thump thump thump thump.*

"Da da!" Noah whispered, pointing at Jet excitedly.

"Shhhhh." Juno said, putting his finger to his lips.

Noah covered his mouth and giggled, running over to his dad with an unsteady wobble.

*thump thump thump thump thump thump thump*

Jet's eyes peeled open, meeting with the sunlight that spilled in through the curtains.

Juno carried Noah into the kitchen. "Let's go make breakfast." He whispered.

Jet rubbed his eyes, wishing there were a few more hours of nighttime left to enjoy.

He opened his eyes again, looking around the room. It looked different than it did at nighttime. But he was used to waking up in unfamiliar places.

He looked to his left, seeing something move behind a chair. He watched for a while, wondering if it was a cat or something.

Then he could see some loose curls poking out.

He sighed. Was it another kid?

Yep. The kid peeked around the chair with its big, brown eyes and light brown hair. Then the kid gasped when it realized Jet was awake, and they had just made eye contact. The kid quickly pulled back, hiding behind the chair again.

Jet covered his face with the blanket, already feeling annoyed. Then he heard the pitter patter of little feet running toward him. He quickly pulled the blanket away from his face, expecting the annoying kid to run up and smack him or something.

But the kid was nowhere to be seen.

Jet sat up, feeling paranoid after too many introductions to spoiled little kids in the past.

Sure enough, there the kid was, crouched down on the floor, trying not to be seen. The kid hid its face as if Jet still couldn't see him.

Jet sighed.

The kid peeked up at him. It looked like a boy now he supposed. He covered his little face with his hands.

"I can see you." Jet said, not entertaining the kid's playful spirit.

The boy giggled shyly and stood up. "I was trying to sneak up on you, but you seed me."

"Saw." Jet corrected.

"Oh. You sawed me." The boy said.

Jet sighed.

"So, are you my uncle?" The boy asked.

"No."

The boy made a face like a surprised monkey. "Oh. Daddy said you're uncle."

Jet pulled his lip up in disgust. "Uncle" was the last thing he wanted to be called. "I don't even know your dad." He said.

The kid shrugged his shoulders with confusion. "Are you a...... Stranger?!" He asked, pretending to be scared.

"I guess so." Jet said in a scary voice, pretending to reach out and grab him.

But the kid just started laughing.

A smile flashed across Jet's face at the innocent sound of the kid's laughter.

"Micah!" Juno scolded quietly.

Jet turned around suddenly.

The kid quickly hid his face again.

Juno sighed. "I told you not to wake him up."

Micah dramatically fell to the floor, hiding his face.
