That night, after Felix and Juno returned to the hotel, Juno was so excited.

Sure, Felix was excited about Kimiwan, but Juno was absolutely vibrating with excitement from everything he learned and experienced that day.

He immediately plopped down on the couch, texting Marielle excitedly.

[Mari, today was amazing!] - Juno

[Oh, yeah? Kuya Felix finally got a girlfriend?🤭] - Mari

[Yes. But not just that. Today was like experiencing another world. The culture is so different. So cool.]

[Haha. When will you be back?]

[Tomorrow I think.]

[Yaaay! I wanted you to come to the theater with us on Monday night. Ask your parents if you can!]

Juno stared at his phone for a while. Something was beginning to feel off. He always thought of Mari as his best friend and someone who he would end up with in the future, but for some reason, it felt like he was always doing all the work. Complimenting her. Acting interested in things she liked. But now, when he was so happy about the day, he was instantly brought down by her total lack of interest. She didn't seem to care at all, and he knew it would be the same in person.

He just experienced something so cool deep and meaningful and exciting, but he couldn't even talk about it, because really, she didn't care.

He sighed, feeling depressed.

[What movie do you want to see?] - Juno.

[Deadpool] - Mari

[Oh.] - Juno

[What? You wouldn't be allowed?] - Mari

Juno sighed again. Why was this so frustrating today? He felt angry. It's true that his parents wouldn't let him watch that movie, but quite frankly, he didn't even want to, and she never asked him what he wanted.

[Haha. Yeah. Probably not.] - Juno

[🙄 When is your dad going to stop micromanaging your life?] - Mari

[Sorry. I know that sounds harsh, but like....] - Mari

Juno gulped sadly.

[Truthfully, Mari... That movie isn't really my vibe. Like, it's true that dad wouldn't let me go, but I don't really want to either.] - Juno.

His heart started beating faster. What was he thinking? Her feelings would definitely be hurt.

[Oh. Well, you could've said something before. You don't have to get mad.] - Mari

[I'm sorry. I'm not mad at you. I'm just getting a little annoyed with the constant digs at my dad.] - Juno
