"Well, I was just thinking, like.... I'm pretty responsible, and I know everything, so like, why is someone else always the boss, not me?" Teddie asked, following Juno around.
Juno laughed like it was the dumbest thing he had ever heard.
Teddie sighed.
"You think you should be the boss?" Juno asked.
Teddie shrugged... "Well, why not?"
"When? Right now? When mom and dad are gone? Or all the time?" Juno asked.
"Well, like, I'm basically good all the time. So, like... All the time." Teddie whispered self-consciously.
"That sounds like a dumb idea." Juno shook his head.
"Well, but.... It's not fair... Daddy gets to be the boss the most. Way more than anyone else!"
Juno smirked evily. "So, you're saying you want a democracy?"
Teddie nodded without any understanding of the word.
Juno leaned forward. "Okay. Then let's start a rebellion to remove Daddy from office and elect someone else."
"Which office?" Teddie asked.
"It means that we rebel against him until he gets removed as our leader." Juno smirked.
Teddie thought about it. "But do you think we'll get...." Teddie began, fiddling with his fingers. "Like... a time out or... like a spanking?"
Juno put on a very serious expression. He nodded his head slowly and deliberately, with wide eyes.
Teddie whimpered and hugged his arms around himself nervously.
Juno scoffed. "If you're already worrying like a baby about the consequences, I don't think you were made for a rebellion."
Teddie sighed.
"See? I knew it. This is why we can't start anything. You'd abandon the cause as soon as soon as dad scolds you, and I'd be left to fight on my own."
"I wouldn't!" Teddie lied.
"Besides even if we succeeded, you still wouldn't be the boss." Juno said.
"Why?"
"It would end up being mom."
"But Mommy gets to be the boss a lot too, and you get to be the boss when Mommy and Daddy are gone, but I never got to be the boss yet." Teddie whined.
