December 2043
Juno sat at his desk, studying for his finals.
He was tired of school. So tired. But at least after this, he only had one more semester left.
He sat for what felt like hours until he heard Brody come back home.
Good. He needed some comedic relief.
He got up and went out into the main room.
But to his surprise, it wasn't Brody. It was Alex.
"Oh!" Juno said. "Hey... Brody's not here..."
Alex looked at him with a glare. "I knew it."
"What?"
"I f**king knew it! That lying piece of s***!" She spat.
Juno put his hands up. "Woah. Okay. What's going on?"
"He said he was going home after school, but clearly, he's cheating on me." Alex said, her voice getting shaky.
"Wait. BRODY?!"
"Who else would I be talking about?!"
"Okay, don't get mad, just tell me." Juno said.
"He's been acting weird... He hasn't answered my calls at night for the past week, and he keeps saying he's here, but he's not." She said, tears welling up in her eyes. "I knew it. I knew he was trash."
Juno sighed. "You're joking..."
She shook her head.
"No. He wouldn't. He's not the type." Juno whispered, shaking his head in disbelief.
"No one loves me." Alex said, wrapping her arms around herself.
Juno looked at her. His eyes started burning with tears. She looked so sad. "Let's go find him."
"What?"
"Let's go find him."
"How?"
Juno froze. Obviously, there was no way to find him. "Never mind, just wait here. He'll come back eventually."
Alex plopped down on their couch and cried.
Juno brought her a box of cookies from the pantry.
"I can't. I'll get fat." She cried.
