Jeongin peaked in Wolf's door and watched as Minam gently kissed his cheek a few times.
Wolf definitely seemed like he had cried, which was rare for him. But he was smiling softly at Minam.
Their brotherhood was really special to see. It was the kind of thing that made you feel warm as if you were melting. When the two of them weren't fighting, that is.
It was sweet to see Minam comforting his hyung like this. He was a really adorable kid, whether he liked it or not.
Minam looked at Wolf with his sparkling doe eyes, and Wolf seemed to feel calm.
*knock knock*
Wolf turned, and upon seeing his dad, his expression instantly grew dark.
Jeongin's heart dropped. There was no denying that he was the cause of his son's tears and anger. He sighed regretfully. "Come finish eating."
Wolf looked down silently.
"You don't have to talk to me, but you should still eat." Jeongin said quietly.
Wolf wanted to refuse, to ignore his dad, to be alone. But he knew that acting that way wouldn't be a good example for Minam, so he stood up and walked toward the door.
Jeongin reached out his arm to touch Wolf's shoulder, but Wolf dodged him, waiting for him to move out of the way.
Jeongin looked at his dark expression. He wanted to just say sorry, but suddenly he couldn't say anything. He just stood there, staring. Where had his little boy gone? Who was this angry young man standing in front of him?
Jeongin gulped. Wolf glared at him, radiating anger. What was this feeling? Intimidation? He started to realize just how grown Wolf was. The kid was already a little taller than him, but not only that, he was strong.
Jeongin looked down, noticing the clenched fists and the blood pumping through Wolf's veins.
'One wrong move.' Jeongin thought. That's all it would take for him to see his son unleash this fury that he was struggling to hold back.
Jeongin stepped aside, letting Wolf pass by him. He looked over at Minam, who awkwardly tried not to look at him.
"What? Are you mad at me too?" Jeongin asked.
"Huh?" Minam asked nervously. "Umm, no." He stuttered, sprinting out the door.
-
Jeongin went back to his room and laid down on his bed. He was tired. He stared at the ceiling for what turned into nearly an hour, forgetting that he was even awake at this point.
-
That night, Minho came into Minam's bedroom. "Alright. Get in bed. School tomorrow." He said.
Minam was building a model figure at his desk.
"I'm almost done." Minam pouted.
Minho did a quick examination of Minam's eyes. There was something wrong.
"Where did you get this figurine?" He asked, walking over to the desk.
Minam looked up at his dad briefly. "Teddie hyung sent it to me."
Minho smiled and nodded. "How is Teddie?" He asked, trying to test out different topics to find out where the problem stemmed. A strategy he noticed his therapist used on him.
"He's good. He's annoyed because his parents love each other too much." Minam giggled.
Minho snorted. "They always were hippies."
