"Oh, Daaaddy-o~" Teddy called softly outside his parents' bedroom door.
He turned the knob slightly, opening it just a sliver and peaking inside.
His dad was lying down, cradling his mom's head and softly saying a prayer.
Teddie waited patiently for him to finish.
It was taking a long time. Teddie leaned against the door frame and picked at his fingernails.
FINALLY, his dad finished.
He turned and looked over his shoulder at Teddie.
"And why are you here?" He asked.
Teddie scoffed. "Excuuuse me. I'm here because I need a hug." Teddie said, waltzing in like it was his room. He leaned over the bed and wrapped his arms around his dad.
"Is something wrong?" Hyunjin asked, giving Teddie a squeeze and patting his back.
Teddie shook his head.
"Good. Then get gone." Hyunjin said, motioning for him to leave.
Teddie pouted. "But I need hugs."
Hyunjin looked at his wrist as if he were wearing a watch. "Come back in 10 hours."
Teddie threw his head back like a disappointed toddler. "You're so mean!"
"Mean?! I gave you a hug before I even got into bed, and I cuddle with you every morning."
JoJo snickered.
"But Dad, I don't have a curfew now, so I'm bored."
JoJo rolled her eyes. "Then go to sleep."
"I don't feel like sleeping." Teddie huffed.
"Go read a book." Hyunjin said.
Teddie whined.
"Don't whine. You're not a baby."
"Well, there's nothing for me to do." Teddie grumbled.
"Get a job working night shifts then." Hyunjin said unsympathetically.
"I can't believe you guys." Teddie said, giving his parents the side eye. "You said I don't have to get a job until I graduate."
"But you could." JoJo sassed.
"You guys are the worst to me. Suddenly, I don't get hugs anymore, and you don't love me. Seriously?" He complained.
"Teddie, stop being dramatic." JoJo said.
"You get hugs all the time. Now see yourself to the door." Hyunjin said with a raised brow.
"Mom, Dad... You're forgetting that there's nothing more important to you than me." Teddie said, trying not to laugh at his own pointless endeavor.
"Boy, get your butt-." Hyunjin started.
JoJo slapped his chest. "Honey, your dad and I are going to bed."
"Dad never actually goes to bed until like 3 am." Teddie mumbled.
"And yet, your mom goes to sleep by 11, so the make-out time is limited to-" Hyunjin began.
"HYUNJIN!" JoJo scolded.
"DAD! Ew. You're disgusting!" Teddie gasped.
Hyunjin snorted, amused by the terror on Teddie's face.
