That night, Wolf crawled into Jeongin's bed, scooching down and laying his head on Jeongin's chest.

Jeongin wrapped his arms around him.

Wolf quietly listened to the familiar sound of Jeongin's heartbeat. "This reminds me of when I was little." He said.

Jeongin nodded. "Me too."

"I liked to hear this sound." Wolf sighed peacefully.

"Yeah. It's reassuring, huh?" Jeongin said, combing his fingers through Wolf's hair.

Wolf nodded and listened for a few more minutes. "Dad?"

"What?"

"Why did you apologize? Did something happen?"

Jeongin exhaled heavily. "Yeah. I got chewed out by my brothers."

"Oh. Did they find out because-"

"I told them." Jeongin cut him off. "I asked for advice. Like how you tell Minam and Teddie everything." He said, looking down at Wolf with a raised brow.

"Well, I didn't bring it up to them, it just-"

"I'm not mad." Jeongin said. "And I really did ask my brothers for advice."

"Ok." Wolf hummed. "And they told you to apologize."

"Yep. You know, even Uncle Minho said it was mean to threaten you."

Wolf started laughing. "Wow. You really messed up big time then."

Jeongin nodded. "I'm sorry. If I've been harsh with you in the past."

"Like how?" Wolf asked, concerned.

"Maybe I shouldn't have used the belt on you other times. I don't know."

Wolf pressed his head into Jeongin's chest silently.

Jeongin worried a little bit, wondering what he was thinking.

Suddenly, he felt Wolf tremble a little bit. He looked down in a panic. Was he crying? He couldn't tell. He turned on the lamp to see his expression.

"Ahh! Dad, that's so bright!" Wolf said.

"Are you crying?" Jeongin panicked.

Wolf stifled a laugh. "No. I... Nevermind."

"Why are you laughing?!" Jeongin questioned.

Wolf snorted. "It's just a little bit funny."

"How is it funny? I don't really find it funny."

"Well-" Wolf burst out laughing. "You know when I was little, and *giggle* and you would tell like I couldn't just leave the house without shoes on or without telling you or whatever?"

"Yeah?" Jeongin replied.

"Well, I didn't care about anything you said. I just followed every thought I had. And when you would put me in the corner, I didn't care. I just paused what I was doing and then resumed after. And it was really funny, because it would make you soooo mad *giggle* and when you'd tell me to do something, if I didn't care about that thing, I wouldn't do it *giggle* and then you would take my toys, so I would just lay down and imagine something interesting."

"Why is that funny?"

"Well, I only started listening to you because you started spanking me if I didn't. And then every time I would act a certain way, I'd get hurt, so eventually my brain was like, "Hey... not listening to dad means big oww." So then eventually I *giggle* I started caring about what you said."
