"So when is Minyeo coming?" Poppy asked, flipping her ponytail from side to side as they walked down the icy street.
"Well, when Jeongin Samchon comes, he's bringing her too. Because then Hyung is going to Ottawa with Samchon." Minam explained as he scrunched up a snowball in his mittens.
"Why's your dad not coming anyway?" Poppy asked.
Minam shrugged. "He said he had some appointments or something."
Poppy looked over at him slowly, her brow lifted to a comedic point.
Minam snorted.
"Well, that sounds suspicious." She said, rolling her eyes.
Minam nodded. He looked at the ground as they walked, careful not to slip. "There's been a lot of suspicious things lately."
"Spill." Poppy prodded.
"Well, ya know how he used to be so strict, like.... remember when we were little and you told us about God, and he... he basically turned into Godzilla?"
Poppy laughed. "Man. That was wild! Should I do that again sometime? Too bad he's not coming. This could've been my chance!"
Minam chuckled. "Well, I actually think he wouldn't be that mad now. Well, he would be mad, but he wouldn't yell about it. Well, he would yell about it, but he wouldn't threaten to disown Uncle Jinnie." Minam said, finishing it with a nod, feeling sure of at least the last part of his sentence.
Poppy gave him a judgemental look. "Well... Baby steps, I guess."
Minam pressed his lips together firmly, trying not to laugh at the absurdity of the whole conversation.
"So what other enormous changes have happened?" Poppy said with a smirk.
"Well, Appa's basically been planning our move to Canada." Minam said sadly.
"I didn't think that was for real!" Poppy said, shocked.
Minam nodded.
"I mean, I get why he doesn't want you to join the military and all that. But that's a huge change..." Poppy said.
Minam gulped. He looked up at the sky and sighed. "I think there's more to it than that. Something he's not saying... Like... I think he misses Uncle Chan. And Uncle Jinnie."
Poppy hummed. "But you don't wanna come?"
Minam shook his head slowly. "But I saw on Appa's computer that he's been looking at houses in Canada. In London."
"Well..... Maybe it's not that serious. Besides! You guys can't just move. Then Uncle Binnie and Auntie Mina and Uncle Jeongin and Wolf Oppa will just be left there!" Poppy squeaked.
Minam shrugged. "I mean.... Basically, if Appa and Eomma decide we're moving, I can't exactly stay behind.... Besides, Hyung said that he'll move too if I move."
Poppy let out a huff. "Well, maybe the laws will change, and they won't mandate the military service anymore."
"Well, they have like 6 months left to do it... Or Appa is going to start the paperwork so we can move. We have until July." Minam explained.
"That seems so sudden." Poppy pouted.
"It's not really. He's been saying it for a couple years. It just seems weird that the time is actually coming up." Minam said.
"So why exactly 6 months then?"
"Because there's a big court case that's supposed to be happening soon. They might change the laws."
