Seungmin waited anxiously by his phone.
Finally it rang.
"Hey. How'd it go?" He asked impatiently.
"Umm. Well..." Jessica said.
Seungmin groaned. "You didn't tell her?!"
"I just. I couldn't. I was about to, and then she just looked so sad. And she was talking about how she wishes her dad was here instead of me, and it wasn't a good time." Jessica explained sadly.
Seungmin sighed. "Okay."
"Okay?"
"Yeah. Let's just... Come up with something else. A different plan." He said.
"Like what?"
"I don't know. I'll ask for some advice or something." He said.
"From who?"
"Maybe I'll call my stepbrother. Or step nephew. Or whatever he is." Seungmin sighed.

"Heyyyy. I have a question."
"Mmkay."
"What made you like our dad?" Seungmin asked casually.
"Uhhh. Super random. I just finished a 12-hour shift."
"I know. That's why I figured I'd call now."
"I'm going home, and I'm going to sleep."
"Okay, fine. But just answer the question."
"Why? This is so out of nowhere."
Seungmin took a deep breath. "Look. I'm with someone who has a daughter. And I want to meet her, and -"
