Early October 2037
"Okay. Uncle Binnie and Auntie Mina are coming. They're really nice and you're going to love them and spend lots of time with them. Okay?" Jeongin said happily.
"Okay." Wolf nodded.
Jeongin smiled and clapped his hands encouragingly.
But inside, he was nervous. It had been just a month and a bit since he met Wolf. This was the first time he was introducing him to someone else.
He wanted to make sure Wolf trusted him fully before he brought anyone new into the picture.
Little did Wolf know, next week he was going to start spending a LOT of time with Changbin and Mina.
Jeongin had arranged everything with them before he even brought Wolf back to Korea.
Changbin seemed to have a natural sense with these types of things. He understood emotions well. He would understand Wolf.
And Mina was so calm and laid back, there's no way that Wolf wouldn't like her. (Eventually)
It was probably a big thing to ask, but thankfully, Changbin and Mina seemed very willing.
Jeongin had taken a 2 month family leave from work, and that was the last of the time he could take off. Next week, he would start work again.
So, this week, Changbin and Mina were going to start coming over every day.
Today they were coming for two hours.
Then, tomorrow, Mina was coming for two hours while Changbin worked.
Then, the next day, Changbin would come for two hours while Mina worked.
Jeongin had to switch his work schedule around, so he worked
9:00 - 4:00 Monday - Wednesday.
And
2:00 - 10:00 on Thursday.
He had to work different hours on Thursday since both Mina and Changbin worked Thursdays, too, so he would be with Wolf during the day and bring him to Changbin and then work all afternoon and evening.
On top of everything, Wolf was supposed to start kindergarten. But there was no way he was ready.
So instead, Jeongin made him a sort of "curriculum."
Next year he would be going to an English school, and working with a teacher aid. But in the meantime, he was supposed to practice writing his alphabet, saying all the letters, and writing his name.
Then he had flash cards with pictures, and he was supposed to say all the words out loud in order to better his speech.
"Alright, Wolfie. Time for breakfast." Jeongin said, pulling Wolf over to his place at the coffee table.
"Say: Milk and cereal." Jeongin said.
Wolf shook his head.
"Milk and cereal." Jeongin sang. "Milk and cereal. Milk and cereal. Milk and-" Jeongin waited for wolf to finish the sentence.
"Ceryal." Wolf whispered.
"Good boy. You're learning so many words." Jeongin said proudly.
Wolf blushed a little bit and looked down at his cereal. "This is Mik and ceryal." He whispered
Jeongin gasped. "What?! You can say a whole sentence?! You must have a really big brain!"
Wolf giggled shyly. "This big!" He gestured really wide with his arms.
Jeongin laughed. "That's really big, isn't it?!"
Wolf nodded.
"Remember, you respond out loud. With your voice." Jeongin reminded.
