Early December 2047
AGES Teddie 15, (almost 16) Poppy 14.
"What is this one?" Poppy asked, zooming into the picture as she sat on Teddie's bed.
Teddie leaned over and snickered. "It's at this kind of abandoned restaurant by the river."
She tilted her head to look closer. "What is he doing?"
"He's just laying on the broken wall."
"For fun?" She asked.
"No. Just for the picture."
"It looks like those terrible quality photo shoots from the 2000's or something." She said.
Teddie laughed. "Mission accomplished then."
"Your friends are so weird." She rolled her eyes.
"You're just jealous cuz you secretly wish you were there." He taunted.
"Who all was there?"
"Peyton and Alexander, and Josiah and Lexi and Gigi."
"Gigi was there?"
"Oh yeah, and there's more tea." Teddie said.
*knock knock*
Teddie and Poppy sighed in unison.
JoJo peaked her head in. "Hey. It's bedtime."
"Mom, we're just talking." Poppy said.
JoJo nodded. "I'm just letting you know. And don't forget both of you.... We volunteered to make the lunch for the church on Saturday. It should already be in your calendars. We need to make the sandwiches after school tomorrow, so be home on time, please."
The kids both nodded, eager for JoJo to leave so they could get to discussing the tea.
Finally, JoJo closed the door.
"What's the tea?!" Poppy asked, turning to fully face Teddie.
Teddie cleared his throat. "Okay, get this. Her and Paxton."
"Ew. What?!"
Teddie nodded.
"No."
"Yes."
"From your history class?!" She gasped.
He nodded in confirmation.
"But she's like... So. Much. Better looking."
Teddie snorted.
"How did she end up with that guy?"
Teddie shook his head. "I don't even know. And she's totally acting different now. Like... she's being all "oh, you noticed my bracelet." After she's been flaunting it around waiting for a compliment. And then she'll say "oh, Paxton got it for me.""
Poppy made a disgusted face.
"And she says it to LEXI."
"Why's that important?" Poppy asked.
Teddie snapped his wrist back dramatically. "Because she knows that Lexi and Paxton went to elementary school together, and that they both used to have a crush on each other." He whispered as if it was top secret information.
Poppy's jaw dropped.
Teddie nodded. "I know, right?!"
"Oh my gosh. That's like next level evil. Does Lexi still have feelings for him?" Poppy asked.
