A few weeks later

I awoke, sweat clinging to my skin. It was Christmas in Malfoy Manor and there was a chill in the air, yet my skin was dripping with sweat. I sat up in bed, breathing heavily, as Severus sat up, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Darling, what is it?"

The images flashed in my mind and I could do nothing to stop them.

James Potter told his wife... Lily... my friend... to take Harry and go. He would hold off the Dark Lord but it was no use. Voldemort raised his wand and shouted "Avada Kedavra!"

I screamed as I saw James's body in the hallway and Severus wrapped his arms around me.

Lily Potter stood in front of Harry's crib, begging Voldemort not to kill her son but he was unyielding. After ordering her to step aside he raised his wand and she was gone in an instant.

"No!" I screamed as Voldemort raised his wand to Harry and the image was gone, replaced by darkness and pain.

"Y/n, it's alright, sweetheart. It's just a dream."

I shook my head frantically. "No... it's a memory... his memory."

"What memory, darling?"

"Godric's Hollow... the night he killed them. I-I saw James and Lily... I saw them die."

"Oh, my love... I'm so sorry," he murmured.

I heard the sound of rushed footsteps before our door burst open. My eyes widened, turning to the door to find Lucius, Bella, and Tom bursting into the room.

"What's going on?" Tom hissed. "What happened?"

"She had a nightmare, my Lord," Severus explained but I shook my head, my skin burning with rage.

"She begged you to spare him... and you killed her," I growled.

"Daughter, what's happened?"

"They're dead!" I shouted. "Everyone is dead because of you!"

"Darling-." Severus tried to touch my cheek but I pulled away from him and turned to face Tom.

"You killed my grandparents! My friends!"

"Daughter-."

"I'm not your daughter!" I screamed.

Severus's grip tightened around my shoulders. "She didn't mean that, my Lord," Severus rushed to explain.

"It's quite alright, Severus," Tom replied. "She's new to these abilities and the emotions that come with them are quite strong."

Severus nodded and I felt his arms wrap around me. The flickering lights slowed and finally stopped as I took in my surroundings, realizing what I'd done.

"Tom, I-."

He raised a hand, stopping me from speaking. "There's no need to apologize, dear one."

The door opened and Narcissa entered the room. Lucius turned to her. "I told you to stay in our room where it's safe."

"Y/n was screaming," she replied. "Did you really think I was going to stay behind?"

Lucius rolled his eyes before turning to Severus and I. "She was dreaming of the night the Potters were killed... wasn't she?"

Severus nodded, squeezing my hand, and I turned to him, my eyes wide with fear. His fingers brushed my cheek

He'll learn the truth eventually anyway, my love.

I turned to Lucius and Narcissa, tears filling my eyes. She quickly crossed the room and climbed into the bed next to me.

What've I done?

Fear settled in the pit of my stomach as the words swirled in my mind and Severus's grip grew tighter around me.

Darling, your thoughts are loud.

My eyes widened and I looked up at him and he kissed my forehead softly.

"I'm sorry you had a nightmare, darling. It's over now. You're safe," he promised.

Narcissa gently pushed the hair out of my face before helping me lay down, pulling the covers over my body.

"Narcissa has her, Severus," Tom said, turning toward the door. "I need to speak with you."

Severus nodded, standing as he and Narcissa shared a look. "Take care of her," he muttered, his voice hard as he spoke.

She nodded and pulled me closer to her as he left the room.

"Cissy... what's he going to do?"

"I don't know, sweetheart. I don't know."
