"Hey, pup. It's alright. You're alright. You had no choice," Sirius soothed, pulling me against his chest. "You protected him. You didn't kill him, sweetheart. You protected us... and him. It's okay. You're okay." His hand gently moved up and down my back as I clutched him tightly. I gasped as my chest began to burn and my father's face flashed in my mind. He was angry.
"Y/n? Hey, what's going on, pup?"
"Harry did it." I smiled and Sirius looked down at me concerned.
"Did what, sweetheart?" Remus asked as he turned to us.
"Part of Albus's mission... he's almost finished it."
"That's good, isn't it?" Remus asked, noticing the tears on my cheeks. "It's great, Rem. It's great." I forced a smile but it was quickly wiped away as Fred's face flashed in my mind, followed by an explosion.
"No!" I screamed and Sirius grabbed me, holding me upright.
"Pup, what's going on?"
"Where are the Wealsey's?" I asked, frantically.
It hadn't happened yet... it couldn't have happened yet. This one felt different.
"They're downstairs, pup. What's going on?"
"Fred... he's going to die. I have to go!"
"I'm coming with you."
I shook my head. "They need you here, Sirius. I'll be fine."
He hugged me and I ran downstairs. My heart was racing as I could see the vision playing out before my eyes. The Weasley family was fighting together, even Percy fought alongside them and Harry, Hermione, and Ron soon joined them. Suddenly an explosion tore them apart and Fred landed in the wreckage, his eyes no longer filled with the familiar energy we all knew and loved. They were simply empty. I shook the image away as I reached the scene and found Harry, Hermione, and Ron standing next to Fred and Percy.
No.
I ran toward them, my skin burning as I threw myself in front of them, my arms wrapped tightly around whoever I could hold.
"Aunt Y/n, what's-."
Harry's words were cut off as the castle exploded around us and screams filled our ears. I was shaking as the dust settled and I slowly pulled away from the kids, looking around at the damage. The side of the castle wall had been blown to bits, yet we stood unharmed, a blue shield encasing our bodies.
"That... that would've killed us," Fred whispered, looking around before his eyes settled on me. "How did you...?" He trailed off, unsure of what to say.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again!" I yelled, pulling him into a hug as the shield dissipated.
"Whoa! Y/n, what happened? Are you alright?" he asked as he hugged me back.
"I saw... I... I saw you die."
"Bloody hell," Ron whispered next to me, his eyes wide as he looked around at the scene.
This was war.
