A/N: Buckle up, folks. This one is a little longer than normal

The next few weeks passed seemingly without incident until one morning. I woke with a start, sweat dripping down my skin as my father's face flashed in my mind. He was angry, far angrier than I think I've ever seen him. Gringotts guards were being slaughtered and fell to the ballroom floor of Malfoy Manor. I screamed as the images continued, each Horcrux being destroyed sending new waves of anger through me. I could see Lucius and Narcissa standing in the back of the room, horrified, as my father continued his rampage.

Severus sat up, gently shushing me. "Hey, it's alright, darling. You're safe."

I shook my head, stumbling out of bed. "No... but they're not!"

"Who, my love?"

"Narcissa and Lucius... they're there and he's... he's on a rampage... killing everything in sight. He's angry... so angry."

"What do you want to do, my love? Do you want to go? I can alert Amycus to let him know you won't be assisting today."

I quickly nodded. "Thank you."

He nodded and I quickly changed my clothes. When I returned he draped my cloak over my shoulders and placed my wand in my hands.

"You'll be back sometime today... right?"

I nodded.

"Please be safe, darling. If I could come with you, I-."

"I know, love... I know. You have your orders."

He smiled, though it didn't meet his eyes as I approached the door. He hugged me from behind, making me promise I would be safe, before letting me leave.

When I arrived at Malfoy Manor I could already feel the atmosphere had grown darker since the last time I had been there. As I entered the manor Mippy led me into the ballroom where bodies lay scattered over the floor. I could smell the blood before we even reached the ballroom and I knew what lay before me. I tried not to look, pausing in the doorway as I heard my father yell.

"You let him escape!"

I saw Bella in front of him, her head bowed and her hands shaking as he yelled at her. Lucius and Narcissa stood in the corner, clutching each other tightly, knowing their turn was next.

"He was here... I know he was. You lied to me, Bellatrix. He accessed your vault and he took it! I trusted you with it and you failed me!"

I swallowed my fear as the bodies on the floor stared back at me, lifeless. I took a breath, willing my heart to stop racing as I sealed off my mind and entered the room.

"Tom?"

He turned, his eyes wide as they found mine. "Y/n... child, what are you doing here?"

"I saw... this." I gestured to the bodies surrounding us. "I saw you."

"You had a vision?" There was a hint of a smile on his face as he spoke and I nodded in reply. "Then you know the boy was here... and that he broke into the Lestrange vault."

"Why would he do that?" I asked him.

"There was something in there of mine," he hissed. "Something the boy wanted."

"What of yours could Potter possibly want apart from your life?" I hissed.

He scoffed, waving his hand dismissively. "It matters not. The point is the boy stole from us! He was here and they let him escape!"
