"Good morning!" Mizuko heard her mom's sweet as honey voice.

Mizuko raced down the stairs to see her mom smiling as she made breakfast. She smelled her mom making fresh pancakes and squeezing fresh juice. Her mom also had cut fresh strawberries as well.

"Good morning, mom!" She went over and hugged her mom.

Her mom gave her a warm embrace and kissed her forehead. Mizuko could feel the love coming off of her mother.

She then unwrapped herself from Mizuko and patted her back.

"Come on, eat up. I didn't make this breakfast for no one to eat it."

Mizuko laughed as she then grabbed a seat at her family's long dining room table. She looked around at the dining room. It was filled with love and it was bright and happy. She looked at all the family photos hanging up above them. She looked at the vacation photo with her and her parents. She then saw the picture of her father and his brother, Oboro, hanging right next to it. It was a cute photo of them when they were about 8 and 6 years old. Oboro was acting goofy while Moya was annoyed with him. Nothing new.

Mizuko stabbed into a pancake with her fork and started cutting into it. She drizzled the syrup along the plate and then finally stabbed a piece to bring to her mouth.

"Good as always, mom." Mizuko sang her mother's praises.

Michiru was about to speak but Moya came around the corner. He leaned in and kissed his wife on the forehead and then followed suit by leaning down to Mizuko and kissing her forehead.

"Oh pancakes. Thank you sweetie." Moya said lovingly to his wife.

Mizuko then heard the doorbell ring. She stood up and announced, "I'll get it."

Mizuko pushed her plate to the side and walked through the dining room and living room to get to the front door. She put her handle on the knob and turned it to open it. Her jaw fell to the floor when she saw who it was.

She looked up and saw an adult uncle Oboro flashing a toothy smile down at her. He was alive and grown up.

"Hikari, who is it?" Moya yelled out.

Hearing that name made Mizuko freeze. She had an overwhelming dread take over her body and anxiety was lumping in her throat. She turned around and saw her parents happily smiling at her with Moya's arm wrapped around his wife.

Mizuko put her hands on her head and her hands wrapped around her hair. She then looked at her hands and she nearly screamed. Her hair was white- just like she was born with.

Oboro smirked down at her.

"Mizuko, you're dreaming. You're dreaming of what your life would've been like if All For One didn't exist and if he didn't have a hand in my demise. Let's get you out of here. It's not real."

Oboro held out his hand to her and Mizuko shakily reached out to him.  When she grabbed it, she saw the house and her parents fade away. She turned around to see it all disappear and she could feel a tear forming in her eye.

The life that she always dreamt of with her family slipped right through her fingers.

Mizuko saw it all disappear into nothing.  She and the young Oboro were back in the dark void. She grabbed her hair frantically and saw it was back to blue. She didn't know whether to be happy or sad about that.

"If only that could've been reality..." Mizuko told Oboro.

Oboro grabbed her by the shoulders so his eyes lined up with her eyes.
