Drowning. (Shoto Todoroki x OC)

Welcome to the Minefield!

The race was starting and Mizuko realized the first obstacle was just trying to exit through the narrow passageway. It made her feel like she was trapped when the school alarm came on when the media snuck in. Only this time, she wouldn't have Todoroki to keep her in his arms.

This time she Todoroki was one of her many opponents that she had to defeat.

She and the rest of class 1A knew Todoroki too well-he would use an ice blast to catapult himself and freeze everyone in place. Mizuko formed jets of water from her hands and blasted the water down onto the ground. The force made her go flying in the air above all the students- just in time as Todoroki froze everyone on the ground in place. She was able to exit the tunnel and continue running. The rest of class 1A wasn't too far behind her.

"You're getting too predictable Todoroki!" She yelled at him with her arms swinging as she ran.

He didn't even look at her. Mineta then tried attacking him only for him to be swatted away by something. Todoroki stopped running and Mizuko was confused. Mizuko then looked up and saw what looked to be giant robots

"Oh these are the zero point villains from the first exam!" Present Mic announced overhead.

It was the first time for these two recommended students to see these robots as they fortunately didn't have to do the entrance exams like everyone else. A crowd of students then gathered. Most of students didn't know what to do when facing this many giant scary robots but 1A was prepared for anything.

Todoroki just laughed. "They obviously went through a lot of trouble but I wish they'd prepared something a little more difficult especially since my dear old dad is watching.." He then moved his arm like he was throwing a bowling ball but instead ice launched off of his arm and froze every single robot in place. Mizuko's eyes widened. She knew he was gifted at his quirk but he showed everyone there how talented he truly was. The robots were then statues.

Is this why you're acting cold Shoto? Is it because your dad is watching and you feel that pressure?

Mizuko wanted to ponder the situation of what got into Todoroki more but she snapped out of it because she's in the middle of the competition. Todoroki started running and Mizuko realized the awkward position these robots were in while frozen. She knew that he did that on purpose.

"Be careful, I froze them off balance... on purpose"

She bit her lip and started to run with her arms behind her and activated her quirk. She blasted water to propel her forward quickly to avoid the crashing down robots. She thought of the idea from Bakugo. A piece of robot then was coming down towards her quickly and she blasted her water to the side to change her course to narrowly avoid it.

She was able to blast herself out of the robot wreckage without a scratch and then pursued towards the finish line. Mizuko was the only one close to Todoroki as a bunch students were in the wreckage.

Run run. I have to keep going.

Mizuko saw the next obstacle. It was a canyon and the only way across was tight ropes. Mizuko knew her balance wasn't great so actually going the straightforward route wasn't going to work.

She saw Todoroki sliding across the tight ropes by freezing them and skating on them. She had to think or she was going to widen the gap between her and Todoroki.

"Come on! Think!" She slapped her forehead.

She then overhead blasts above her. She looked above to see an angry looking firey Bakugo.

"Don't you think you can beat me, Seaweed!!"

"Glad you were able to finally catch up to me, you extra" She teased him while sticking out her tongue.
