Little One, don't think I will let you get rid of me. Let's have a race shall we? Can you get rid of your own cloud quirk before we get ahold of you? The doctor misses you terribly.Mizuko shot straight up in Shoto's bed while she screamed. Her nails were clawed into the bed and her eyes were widened with fear. She soon realized that it was just a nightmare of All For One but she was still breathing heavily. She really wasn't back in that dark void. But if she was really back in Shoto's room, where was he? She looked to her side and didn't see him there.
"Mizuko!" Shoto came over from his desk and embraced her to calm her down.
The feeling of him against her helped calm her breathing. He was really there. She held him tightly against her.
"It was just a dream..." She whispered to him.
Shoto pulled away from her and held her face so she was looking him in the eye.
"What was it, Mizuko?" He asked with a concerned look.
Mizuko bit her lip and put her hair behind her ear. Shoto didn't like seeing her nervous tic right now.
"All For One knows I plan to get rid of this quirk, if the League and the doctor don't get to me first..."
"What doctor?" Shoto asked stern while still holding her face. He looked honestly scary as he would do anything to protect her.
Mizuko tried remembering but it was no use. The doctor and All For One altered all her memories from before she was given her Ocean Quirk. Mizuko only learned at the trial why her memories before then were so fuzzy and why she never remembered her true name, Hikari.
"I'm not sure. All I remember is visiting some old bald doctor when I was a kid who did a lot of quirk assessments on me when I was quirkless as a kid. I don't remember his name and I'm not even sure it was him." She was honest. It hurt her head trying to remember those memories.
Shoto let go of Mizuko and went to his desk. He picked up the cup in front of him and handed it to her. Mizuko looked surprised and saw it was a cup of coffee with the exact amount of cream she liked in it. She looked surprised at the cup and gave that look to Shoto.
"I'm sorry that I forgot your childhood memories are hazy. No matter, we will figure this out. The first step though is asking Eri if she would erase your quirk. I figured you would need some caffeine to help you muster the courage." Shoto said lowly.
Mizuko smiled. That's why he was out of bed this morning; he already made sure she would have the perfect cup of coffee to start this long day. Mizuko brought the cup to her face and took a small sip. The warm beverage helped calm her down.
"Yeah I should be meeting Izuku and Shota over at his teacher dorm soon. Wait, don't you have your last remedial class today? Tomorrow's your provisional license exam!" She said wanting to focus on Shoto now.
Shoto nodded his head as Mizuko took another sip of her coffee.
"Yeah we should hopefully get our licenses tomorrow. We will have finally caught up to you all now. Bakugo should be here any -"
"IcyHot!! Come on! We're going to be late!" They could hear Bakugo screaming while pounding on Shoto's door.
Mizuko and Shoto sighed at each other. That was Bakugo for you.
Shoto picked up his bag and leaned down to Mizuko's lips to give her a soft kiss.
"I love you, Mizuko. I'll catch up with you after my class. It'll be fine talking to Eri today. Try not to worry."
