Drowning. (Shoto Todoroki x OC)

She Was His Light

It was time to for the Todoroki siblings to head back home as they were only allowed to stay for the pageant. Fuyumi and Natsuo were left alone with Shoto and Mizuko behind stage while Aizawa and Present Mic were around the corner waiting for them. Togata and Midoriya already pulled Eri along to enjoy the rest of the festival.

"It was so nice to have you both come. Please travel safe home." Mizuko formally bowed in front of them while still in her pageant dress.

While her head was still down, Natsuo wrapped his arm around her neck and pulled her in close. She yelped and flailed as she wasn't expecting that.

"Don't be so formal." He smiled down at her while releasing her.

Fuyumi then held her arms out for a hug. Mizuko was not expecting her to want a hug from her. Mizuko embraced Fuyumi and thought she smelled so nice.

"We're always glad to see you both. Come over, anytime you two. Next time I'll make cold soba for you, Shoto!" Fuyumi smiled at him.

Shoto gasped slightly. He didn't know that she knew his favorite food. He knew Mizuko had something to do with it.

"I would like that a lot. Oh by the way, could do me a favor?" Shoto then pulled out his phone and handed it to Fuyumi.

Fuyumi said, "Sure." Shoto then got closer to Mizuko and put his arm around her.

"We only have that one photo of us together, Mizuko. And let's be honest it's not the best. I want to keep taking photos of many more happy memories of us over the years."

Mizuko felt her heart get all warm hearing Shoto say that. She remembers that photo being of her asleep on Shoto's shoulder before they were even dating. It was when she was finally getting him to warm up to be her friend. Now after all that they've encountered, he is much more special than just her friend. He's her whole heart.

"Only on one condition." She smiled.

The three Todorokis looked at her puzzled. Mizuko knew how much Fuyumi was trying to reunite their family again. She knew that she had to try and help the Todoroki's.

"Only if I can take a photo of you three. I'm sure it's been a very long time."

Fuyumi nearly let tears escape as Natsuo was trying to calm her down. To be honest, it was the first photo ever of those siblings together. Endeavor kept Shoto hidden away from his siblings so there were no photos of them.

Natsuo just grinned at Mizuko. Shoto half smiled down at his girl. He knew that she had the purest of hearts and it made him happy to see she cared about his family. All of them including his mother and unfortunately he knew she even cared about Endeavor slightly.

Natsuo took the phone from Fuyumi as she was trying to compose herself.

"Give us a big smile! This photo could be at your wedding!" He stuck his tongue out as Fuyumi slapped his back.

Mizuko was smiling so big while Shoto did his best with his half smile. A moment now stood still in time of them while young and in love.

Once they were done, Shoto kissed her forehead. Mizuko then motioned for Natsuo to hand over the phone so she could take their photo. Fuyumi and Natsuo then stood on each side of Shoto.

As Mizuko was taking their photo, Mizuko felt slightly sad. It was their first sibling picture yet it would forever be incomplete without Toya. Mizuko didn't know much about Toya. All Shoto told her was that he died and left it at that. She wanted to ask about the fallen Todoroki child but didn't even know how to approach such a delicate topic.
