Drowning. (Shoto Todoroki x OC)

She's My Support

Mizuko turned the corner and finally found Todoroki. But Mizuko was concerned. She found him staring down Midoriya.

"Are you really All Might's secret love child or something..?"

Mizuko was trying to be hidden but she gave away her location as she fell to the floor trying to hold in her laughter. Midoriya and Todoroki turned to see her. Midoriya looked relieved while Todoroki stood there confused.

"Oh hey Shirakumo! Just telling Todoroki here that All Might have nothing in common and my quirk is not like his at all!" Midoriya was awkwardly waving his hands around.

"Did you really think he's All Might's kid? I love ya Midoriya but you barely have any control of your quirk unlike All Might."

Midoriya appreciated the fact that she helped deflect the accusation of their quirks being the same but she didn't have to be that blunt. His smile was twitching at her comment.

"What did you want, Shirakumo?"Todoroki said coldly.

Mizuko was taken back by his coldness. She knew this was Endeavor's doing and he influenced him to act how he is acting  now.

"I wanted to thank you for training me how to cool my ocean water to ice. If it weren't for you, my team would've lost the Calvary battle and Bakugo would be be very upset with me to put it lightly." Mizuko put her hair behind her ear while making a nervous laugh.

Todoroki didn't laugh. "I should've never taught you that. There's only one winner. We are rivals and not friends. I'm sorry for the confusion. However, everything before was a mistake."

Mizuko had tears in her eyes of more anger than sadness. "Todoroki Shoto. I know your dad made you believe that way. You don't have to follow his ideals. Follow your own path. It's your life and your quirk, not his. But I just know you can't rise to the top without support. I told you from day one that I will always support you!"

Mizuko ran the other direction, leaving Todoroki and Midoriya in their place while he spoke to him about his life as a child. She didn't want them to see her cry. If she couldn't even save Todoroki, how could she help or save anyone as a hero? She was feeling hopeless. Maybe her friendship with Todoroki was not salvageable. She was thinking of giving up. It may be a lost cause now.

"Obviously you're connected to All Might. But no matter how fiercely you come at me, I will defeat you with my only right side."

Todoroki walked away from Midoriya. Midoriya then chased after him.

"I'm only here because others have supported me. I've been really lucky. I want to be like All Might and I owe it to everyone that's supported me to be number one. Imagine how much stronger than me you would be if you would give 100% of your quirk. Imagine how much stronger you would be if you let others support you. Shirakumo has been by your side forever and will do whatever to support you and you keep brushing her to the side. Imagine your power alongside her support. And since I have and accepted support, I will beat you!"

Todoroki felt a slight dagger when he mentioned Shirakumo.

Leave her out of this.. could she actually make me stronger? No, friends make you weaker...

Mizuko thankfully was busy trying to thank Todoroki as she missed Mineta and Kaminari's cheerleader outfit prank.

Her mind was busy thinking of her interactions with Endeavor while Ojiro and Shoda withdrew. Should she have told Todoroki that she scolded his father? Or would that have shut him down more?

"And Shirakumo Mizuko will be facing Aoyama Yuga!" Present Mic broke her trance

She then saw Aoyama come up to her and wink. "Can't wait to show you what I got mademoiselle!" His eyes sparkled.
