Classes were suspended for a week after the USJ incident. Mizuko was in her room looking out the window. Most people her age would be excited to have off a week of school and be home. Not her.She was staring at the birds flying around. She watched as the mother bird flew around her nest protecting her baby birds.
How nice. The wings to fly away. The wings to be free
Mizuko stopped daydreaming as she heard her phone got off. She looked at the caller ID - unknown.
"Hello?"
"Is this Shirakumo Mizuko?" The other person on the line was an older man
"Speaking... who is this?"
"Detective Tsukauchi. We need you down for some standard questioning after the USJ incident."
"Of course, sir"
She hung up the phone and grabbed her bag headed towards the police station.

Shirakumo entered the police station. Her nerves were getting the better of her. She knew she wasn't in trouble but the feeling she was having wasn't going away.
"I'm here to see Detective Tsukauchi. I'm Shirakumo Mizuko." She told the receptionist.
The receptionist got up from her desk and led Mizuko down a long hall way. She escorted her into a dark interrogation room all without saying a word.
Not the most hospitable place..
"Oh hello! Thanks for coming down Shirakumo! Nice to officially meet you. I'm Detective Tsukauchi. Principal Nexu left me in charge of investigating the USJ incident. I just want to ask questions to all involved." He motioned her to sit down and she complied.
Well he's nicer than this place looks
"I'll help in anyway I can, sir."
The detective offered her a glass of water as a sign of trust. She happily drank from the glass.
"Now, our reports say the villains entered the USJ through a villain using a warp gate quirk. One of the students said that he overheard the one named Kurogiri say All Might was supposed to be there according to the schedule they received. Did you share any information about your training day to anyone outside your class?"
"No sir. Just my parents who asked me what I was learning and who was teaching." She looked away from him when mentioning her parents.
"Ah okay. Just your parents- simple enough. Now explain what happened to you after Kurogiri separated you all."
"I was sent to the Landslide Zone with Todoroki. I was able to use my quirk to subdue the villains."
The detective's smile faded. "Why didn't you head to the exit after defending yourselves? Reports say you went right to the one called Shigaraki instead. Why didn't you go to the exit?"
Mizuko grabbed her pants and tightened her hands on the fabric. "I saw an explosion in the water of the Shipwreck zone. No one else's quirk can manipulate water so I thought my friends were in trouble. Turns out Midoriya created that blast with his quirk's power. I ended up in the middle of the battle..." she paused while taking a breathe to calm herself.
"Detective Tsukauchi, I'm in the hero course to be a hero. I wanted to save my friends even if meant my death. No one would care if I went- not my parents - not anyone. I would trade my life to protect another's." Tears escaped her eyes.
The detective knew he was pushing her with these questions. He didn't mean to be cruel but he needed to know her involvement and figure out what happened. He did feel sympathetic to how she felt about herself. What parents wouldn't care if their daughter sacrificed themselves? Surely some teenage angst?
