Shoto loosened his grip and Mizuko flung up off of him. She gritted her teeth and shot Endeavor daggers with her eyes. Shoto's look was more calm but one could still sense his frustration.

"Troublesome water brat, you pinned down Shoto but you hesitated. If he was a real villain, he would've killed you right then and there. However if you couldn't escape his grip with your quirk, how the hell are you in the hero course? You could've escaped that position!"

Mizuko's eyes quickly fixed to the floor. She didn't want her eyes to lock with Endeavors and he find out about the truth of her feelings for his son.

"And Shoto! You could've easily defeated her with your fire yet you hesitate-"

"I will never hurt my friends. I could never see your son as my enemy." Mizuko spoke sternly at Endeavor as she cut off his lecture.

Endeavor's flames around his body went flying up to ceiling as a result of his anger at her. He had never met anyone who disrespected him this much. If he hasn't sworn to Tsukauchi that he would protect her, he would've thrown her ass to the curb by now.

However, Endeavor suddenly had a brilliant idea to "protect her" while punishing her for her blatant disrespect. He laughed to himself before cackling aloud. Shoto and Mizuko shot him a questioning look.

"You forget I'm the one in charge of your internship, water brat. It seems you have to do a lot of training of the control of your water quirk of yours. Usually without that control, I would kick you right out. However, since I'm such a nice guy, I will give you until the last day to prove your control of your quirk. If you can prove you have better control, I will allow you to go on patrol with Shoto and me." Endeavor smirked at as his marvelous plan.

He wouldn't have to protect her if she stayed inside the agency. She would be kept safe and he wouldn't have to worry about her.

I want to feel angry at this asshole, but does he have a point? Is my quirk not controlled enough for urban setting? I guess he may not seem like it, but he must really care about me becoming a hero?

"You bastard. I knew you didn't care about actually training her. I don't know what kind of game you're playing but I swear if you hurt her-" Shoto became furious knowing that Mizuko would be left alone

Mizuko put her hand on his shoulder. Shoto looked over at his girlfriend confused. She looked Shoto in eye and he could read what her eyes were saying. They were saying don't worry.

"Shoto, I will be fine. Remember, I'm not weak, I'm strong. I will go on patrol with you guys at the end of the week, I promise you that. I actually think it's sweet that big bad Endeavor cares about my training so much. I'll see you in a week." She smiled sweetly while winking at Endeavor.

Endeavor screamed in anger while grabbing his son away from her. He wasn't doing this because he cared about her. He just didn't want to babysit her. If she stayed inside, she would be protected from the villains. It's not like she would actually have that much better control in one week.

Shoto turned back and stole one last glance at her. He wanted to say bye to her but Endeavor just kept rushing the two of them out of the room. Mizuko lightly laughed while waving bye to the both of them.

Endeavor was almost out of view before saying one last thing, "Didn't know you called my son by his hero name already, water brat."

Mizuko thankfully was far enough away that he couldn't see her blushing and panicking. She almost blew hiding their relationship by calling him Shoto. She quickly had to deflect.
