Drowning. (Shoto Todoroki x OC)

The Todoroki Name

The camera crew was in the common area of the dorms trying to interview both Shoto and Bakugo. Izuku, Iida, Uraraka, and Mizuko were secretly watching from the corner seeing how this was going to go down. Two socially inept people being interviewed for tv - nothing could go wrong, right?

Mizuko still couldn't believe that Shoto and Bakugo casually stopped a group of robbers only 30 minutes after getting their licenses. They really used their quirks in fantastic ways to both protect the citizens and stop the villains without causing collateral damage to the buildings. They even got footage of Shoto using Flashfreeze Heatwave which Mizuko hadn't seen since the Sports Festival. She was proud of Shoto's improvements.

"So Todoroki that must've been quite frightening facing a group of villains like that with your friend, Bakugo?" The reporter asked with her microphone extended.

"Well it wasn't frightening at all. I focus on the task at hand-"

"Hold up. No way he is my friend! You have screws loose in your brain, lady?!" Bakugo cut off Shoto's answer.

"I think we're friends, don't you? We spent a lot of time together in remedial classes. How would you define friendship?" Shoto asked him a question that threw him off guard. They also were bonded by their desire to protect Mizuko but that wasn't going to be mentioned on camera.

Bakugo looked like his forehead vein was about to explode and foam was about to pour out of his mouth.

"We were forced to spend time together. No way I'll ever want to be your friend, you IcyHot idiot!" He yelled with the reporter still there.

Mizuko fell over in disbelief that Bakugo was really acting like that in front that reporter. The others didn't even try helping her up as they couldn't believe Bakugo either. Shoto just kept answering her questions very matter of fact as Mizuko got up.

And he calls Shoto dense?

"Sorry to bother about your love life but tons of fans are dying to know, are you single?" The reporter asked.

Mizuko felt her body tense up and her eyes widened. What did she mean tons of fans want to know if he's single?! She knew that Shoto was easily the most handsome person in their year so it shouldn't be shocking that other girls looked at him like that. But with him getting popular, he was going to have more people after him- especially when he becomes a top rated hero.

"No I'm not. I'm actually dating someone." He answered matter of fact.

The reporter's face fell as she thought she could market him as a hot single upcoming hero.

"Too bad. You'd have a lot of ladies coming your way." She egged him on.

Shoto wasn't letting this lady have it. "Oh. But why would I want ladies coming to me? I'm perfectly happy with the love of my life, Shirakumo Mizuko." 

Mizuko turned beat red as the trio with her looked like she was crazy as she nearly yelled, "oh my god". She couldn't believe Shoto professed his love to her on national television. Hopefully they would edit it out. She didn't like attention drawn to her.

The reporter then realized she just got an even juicier story as she smirked.

"Oh so you're dating the girl that helped your dad and Hawks beat that Nomu in Kyushu? Seems like you two make a strong couple."

Shoto went to respond but Bakugo shoved Shoto out of the camera as he was still angry about the whole thing.

"Quit talking about his damn love life and ask me some question dammit!"

Mizuko took a breathe of relief. Thank god Bakugo stopped that conversation from going any further.

"Is Bakugo actually this bad?" Iida asked in disbelief while covering his face with his hands. He felt so much shame in how Bakugo was portraying his class.
