Gently Up the Stream

Mizuko was staring off into space. Present Mic just got done with his English lesson. Mizuko was just wanting to focus on hero lessons. Learning English wasn't the most exciting course.

She was daydreaming about her sea water turning into a huge iceberg. Making sea water into an iceberg would surely impress her dad, right?

"Shirakumo. Are you related to Oboro?"

Mizuko broke from her daydream and blinked. She looked up from her desk to see the flashy Present Mic at her desk.

"Oh uh yes sir. I didn't know you were friends with him. That was my uncle.." She trailed off. She didn't need to say more as she could feel Present Mic's sadness. It was palpable.

Present Mic turned away from her as if he was going to be leaving the classroom. But he stayed right near her desk.

"He would've made an excellent hero. I'm glad I get to help you grow up to become one as well."

That was the last thing he said before he walked away from Mizuko. She didn't realize how many people her uncle connected to. She now realized she had even bigger shoes to fill at this school. She only hoped to be even close to what Oboro was. She heard he was a kind soul to everyone. He encouraged everyone to do their best and he was a true definition of a hero even at his death..

"I am walking through the door... like a HERO!"

Mizuko turned to the door. Her eyes brightened and had the biggest smile on her face. The rumors were true! All Might is here as a teacher! She stood up in amazement. He was even wearing his Silver Age costume!

"Wow it's really All Might!" Mizuko shouted all excited. Todoroki looked over and just rolled his eyes. He thought to himself, She says she doesn't want to be number one but look at drooling over the number one man himself.

"You're just as an annoying fangirl as Deku, Seaweed!" Bakugo fired at her.

Mizuko rolled her eyes at this comment.

"Hey you should be more excited Bakugo! Isn't he the hero that saved you from the Sludge Villain? You should be more thankful to him and Midoriya!" Mizuko winked and stuck out her tongue at Bakugo.

Bakugo had mini explosions going off at his finger tips. Midoriya's face was bright red since he was not expecting that Mizuko would fire back and include him. Tenya Iida noticed this interaction and shot up from his desk with his right hand in the air. He would put a stop to such disrespect.

"Bakugo, please refrain from using such insulting nicknames to your fellow classmates. It's not suiting in the presence of All Might. And Shirakumo! You typically have better behavior than that!"

Mizuko sighed and held her hands in defeat. There was no use arguing with Iida. But as she sighed, she realized something. She was becoming a very different version of herself. A version of herself that she was proud of. Shirakumo Mizuko from Junior High would've never stood up for herself or a have a sarcastic comeback, especially to the biggest jerk of the class. Plus she was trying to be more social and make more friends. She was becoming proud of who she was.

"Now quickly young heroes- put on your costumes and head to Ground Beta!!"

Mizuko shot up again in excitement. Her hero costume was ready. She grabbed her bag over her shoulder and ran out of the classroom into the locker room. Once she entered the locker room, she finally saw her dream costume - in real life!

The costume was like her daydream. It was a light green bodysuit. It was skin tight in case she needed to speedily swim underwater. She had silver gauntlets that had hues of pink and white seashells and coral. The gauntlets were there to store water in case Mizuko couldn't produce more sea water. It looks like a Support Course Student decided to make it their own and even had a seashell pendant in the middle of the costume.
