After the nurses and doctors stabilized Mizuko, they took her to a different hospital room away from three guys. They wouldn't let anyone in to see her for the first day, even her teachers. Iida, Deku, and Shoto were somber and couldn't believe all that Mizuko had to absorb: All for One gave her the quirk she has and named her. It was so much for Mizuko. The next day the guys were discharged and their injuries were mainly healed except for Iida who needed nerve transplant surgery for his hand. However, Iida decided to defer until he becomes the hero he wanted to be.
All three knew that they had to go check on their female friend. Shoto wanted to be there for her so badly. She was always there for him even when he pushed her away and didn't deserve her. She always put others before herself and it was time that she was given the same love she gives out.
Shoto, Iida, and Deku left their room and slowly shut the door to not make a sound. They tiptoed and turned the corner only for Deku to fall flat on his face as he physically walked into a familiar teacher.
"I'm assuming you all will be trying to see Shirakumo." Aizawa said flat while staring down his students.
"Mr. Aizawa!" Iida stood at attention out of respect for his teacher.
Shoto didn't give him that same respect. He wasn't going to be able to much longer without seeing her.
"We are going to see her whether you like it or not." He said with anger rising in his voice.
Aizawa became annoyed. "Todoroki. I was going to show you her room. They are allowing people in now. They said her heart acted up because of a panic attack. She's okay now."
Shoto forced his glance on the floor. He wasn't going to thank him. Even though he knew that Aizawa had to lie to protect Mizuko, it still didn't sit well with him.
Aizawa led them down the hall. Deku was getting nervous thinking about what he was going to say to her. What could he say?
The walk was silent but short as they arrived to 305A. Aizawa knocked on the door and a young nurse opened the door ajar. They could see Mizuko laying down with the back of her blue hair facing them and her facing the window.
"Oh we were about to discharge her but we don't know where she will be going to..." the young nurse said to Aizawa.
Aizawa opened the door all the way and motioned the nurse to leave. "Just give us some time."
The nurse left and the doorway was clear. Shoto didn't even hesitate and ran to his person. He wrapped his arms tightly around her body and lifted her up. He carefully made sure he didn't grab her shoulders roughly.
"Mizuko. I was so worried about you. We're here for you. I am here for you. For once, let me be your shoulder to lean on." He cried out as he squeezed her tightly.
Hs shot his head up when he realized she wasn't moving to reciprocate. He looked at her face. Her eyes had dark circles and the light in her eyes was gone. Her cheeks were red from the constant crying. Her hair was a mess.
"Hi Shoto.." her voice was quiet.
Shoto felt a pit in his stomach.
"It's okay to not be okay." He pulled her head in close to his chest.
Iida and Deku felt sorry for Todoroki.
"It's okay that my quirk is some demon lord's? It's okay my father sold his soul to him in exchange for me possibly becoming the number one hero? It's okay that All for One has controlled me for so long?!" Her voice went from flat quickly to screaming.
