Vodka Kisses

0511- No One Here Can Love or Understand Me

The five of us walk straight to the police station, in basically silence.

As soon as it comes in sight we stop and just look at it.

"Seems to me we've been here before." Aria speaks up.

"We'll get it right this time." Hannah says.

"We have to." I add.

"This time is different." Emily speaks up.

"After this, Ali's on her own." Spencer says.

We take a step towards the police station when Emily calls out a, "wait!"

I turn around and notice her looking at a store with a bunch of glitchy tv's in the window.

They stop on pictures of Ali at the hospital.

"That's when Ali came to my hospital room after Mona's party." Hannah tells us.

A red banner flashes across the screen.

"We can't tell now." Emily's eyes widen.

"Why not?" Aria asks.

"Because no one will believe we didn't know Ali was alive if they see this." Hannah says.

Aria grabs Spencer and it takes a second to see she was going to smash the screens with a brick.

"It won't do any good! Spencer put the brick down." Aria tells her.

The tv flashes again and it shows the five of us.

Fuck we have to get out of here.

We quickly turn away and head back the way we came.

We're stuck.

When I go downstairs, neither of my parents are down there.

Strange.

They always wake up before me.

I tip toe back upstairs and towards my parents bedroom.

I press my ear to their door and hear mumbled talking.

"Let me call a doctor, I'm not a doctor I don't know if it's normal." I think my dad says.

"Wait till Grace leaves for school."

My mom is ill again?

Really ill.

I quickly rush downstairs grab my car keys and rush out the door. I jump in my car and immediately call Logan.

"Good morning." He smiles.

"Can you meet me at the brew? Or i can come and get you?" I offer.

"Right now?" He asks.

"Please." I plead.

"Okay, I'm getting in the car, meet me at the brew." He tells me before ending the call.

When i get to the brew, i get there before Logan. I order us coffees and a pastry each before sitting down on the sofas.

When Logan gets there he rushes over to me.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He sits beside me and leans in to kiss me as he sits down.

"My mom." I shake my head. "I heard them talking before I left, she's really sick, my dad wants to call a doctor." I tell him.

"That's normal, she's still in recovery and it's normal for her to get sick. She'll be okay." He wraps an arm around my shoulders.

"It feels bad." I tell him.
