Three months later...

I couldn't believe that a year had finally passed again. Ang bilis! 24 years and it has been amazing.

Nakangiti kong iminulat ang mga mata ko. Pakiramdam ko ay nakangiti rin ang mga ito kasabay ng pagngiti ko kahit wala naman akong nginingitian.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, God for another blessed year. Thank you!"

I couldn't help but to speak my prayer aloud. Ang saya ko! Umpisa pa lang ng araw ko pero puro positibo na ang nakukuha kong enerhiya. Buti na lang ay may birthday leave kami sa AdHarmony Logic. It's a Thursday but I would treat this as a weekend.

Kinuha ko ang cellphone kong nakapatong sa table sa tabi ko. Hindi ako nagkamali, ang daming messages. But none from my boyfriend. Oh, yes! Of course! He's up to something! Cliché pero kinikilig pa rin ako sa naiisip ko.

Hindi mawala ang ngiti ko sa nabasa kong message ni Janine sa akin. Ito ang kaduluhan sa messages ko na hindi pa nabubuksan. Ibig sabihin, si Janine ang kaunahang bumati sa 'kin. Then, I checked the time. 12:00am. Janine and her perfect timing! Natawa ako.

While I'm reading the next one, I uhm uh... Teary-eyed. Hindi ito kasing-haba ng kay Janine pero pinaramdam sa akin nito ang halo-halong pakiramdam. It's been months yet Whenever I hear or read his name, lagi kong naaalala ang mukha nito noong huli naming pagkikita. Masaya ako ngayong birthday ko. I have my happy family, my crazy friends and my loving boyfriend. Kaya isa na lang ang hihilingin ko ngayon. I love Enrique because he's one of the best friends I have. And all I hope and wish is that...he could finally move on and open his heart again. He deserved to be loved.
