Teenage Rhink
I've had this idea in mind for such a long while and artpopfame also suggested to write something where they weren't best friends, so here ya go!Link was the last one to enter into the bar after his friends. He carefully closed the door and the smell of cigarettes being smoked immediately hit his nose, hitting his throat right after, causing him a little discomfort.
He followed the group of his friends and they all sat behind a round table, all of them laughing at some joke that Link didn't hear, so he just smiled as he met some of their glances. Lincoln wasn't much of a 'party guy', but he couldn't refuse when Casey asked him to go out with them for his birthday and also his mother insisted. Though he couldn't really understand how could one celebrate his birthday in a random bar beside the road when Buies Creek had a good amount of fun places where to go. Link unconsciously shrugged at himself and then tried to concentrate on the conversation that was happening at the table.
When the waitress approached their table, a not very attractive woman in her forties and way too much lipstick on, Casey shouted "Shots and a can of bear for everyone! I'm paying!" and everyone around the table cheered. The woman just wrote something down in her small notebook and walked away. Link sighed at the image of a car full of intoxicated teenagers that would happen later that night. The car that he was almost sure he would have to drive.
While they were waiting for the drinks, Link zoned out a bit as he just looked around the bar. He figured that the smell of cigarettes was something always present here, since no one was smoking at that moment, which made him worry a bit for the people who worked there. The space wasn't much inviting in general, at least for what Link preferred, but he didn't expect anything better from a small bar that was literally in the middle of the woods beside a random road. The neon lights would flicker from time to time and its buzzing would become a little louder when they did it, and Link was amazed by the fact that he actually was able to notice that. In the corner of the room stood a pool table. A very typical one. And as the dark haired guy scanned the rest of the room, his eyes got stuck on a boy sat one table away from theirs. Link wondered if he was actually pretty tall or it just seemed like it by his posture. But he didn't thought about that for a long time since the other boy was already with his eyes on him and Link quickly turned away as their eyes locked for a second. Though he could swear that the other was still looking at him.
The drinks had arrived, two glass cups being placed in front of Link. A big one and a small one. They all drank from the smaller one first; the liquid burning their throats and making them laugh and cheer, asking for another round. Link tried to not make a face and drank the beer from the bigger cup; and by that rhythm, one hour and more rounds later, the two groups of youngsters present in the bar joined together around one table and most of them were already making out, mostly due to the amount of alcohol present in their bodies.
Link held back on the stronger drinks, ordering another glass of beer, and his eyes from time to time shyly met the eyes of the taller blond guy across the table with the similar short haircut to his.
The dark haired observed the table. The lights in the bar seemed to get a little darker or maybe it was the fact that he already got used to its weird lighting. None of his friends seemed bothered with that fact that Link was sat there without talking for the entire hour as their attention was fully turned to the person beside them, it's being a girl with who they tried to flirt or a guy with who they talked about sports. And no one at the table looked around when Lincoln got up from his chair and walked to the pool table at the corner of the room.
He looked down at the dark green surface of it, seeing some dark stains at some spots, but in general it was pretty well conserved for the place where it was. With the beer cup still in his hand, Link passed the free hand on the soft surface of the table, which made him shiver with the sensation of it. He walked from one side to the other and as he looked up, the tall boy at who he has been keeping an eye on was right in front of him, standing at the other side of the rectangular table. He jumped with the sudden encounter but tried to keep his expression null as the other guy smiled at his funny reaction.
- Rhett. - the tall extended his slim arm across the table.
- Link. - the blue eyed answered and shook other boy's warm hand.
- Aren't a big fan of this type of parties? - Rhett smiled and started to slowly walk closer to Link.
The dark haired shrugged and drank the rest of his beer since there wasn't much left. - Not much. - he shyly smiled when the tall guy stopped beside him.
- Want to play? - Rhett pointed at the table.
- I don't know how... - Link answered, looking at his feet.
- I'll teach ya. - the taller gave Link a light push, making the other smile.
- Fine.
Rhett smiled and quickly made his way to the bar, asking the woman for the materials. She gave him a black bag and a plastic triangle and with those occupying both of Rhett's hands, he made his way back.
- Grab two cue sticks. - the tall blond asked, pointing at the wall behind Link. The smaller turned around and observed the sticks horizontally placed on the wall. He put his glass on the table and carefully took two of them.
He observed Rhett emptying the black bag, the balls made some noise as they bumped into each other on the table. Link counted 15 of them. Then, the tall boy took the plastic triangle and patiently placed all the balls in there, making those also form a triangle at one of the sides of the table.
He took off the triangle and placed it on the floor beside the table, putting there Link's empty cup of beer too. He took one of the sticks and then placed a white ball at the opposite side of the table, lining it with the rest of the colorful globes.
- Want to do the break-off shot? - Rhett asked smiling.
- Uh... - Link wasn't sure what to answer since he had only seen people playing this and never learned how to even properly hold the stick.
- Come here.
Link obeyed and walked closer to the tall boy. A tingling sensation appeared at the bottom of his stomach. He held his breath when Rhett's hands touched his shoulders. The tall made him bend down at the level of the table. While one of his hands rested on Link's shoulder, the other went behind his back and held the arm that was securing the stick. Link knew he should be paying attention to what the blond boy was saying, but he found his mind thinking about how impressively strong the tall boy seemed to be and how nice the touching happening felt.
Suddenly, his arm was pulled to the front and the stick hit the white ball, making it roll the other side of the table without hitting a single ball on its way. Link felt his face warm up even more with the failed attempt and he let out a giggle. Rhett joined him, putting his head on one of Link's shoulders.
- That was almost perfect. - the blond said and for Link's disappointment he let go the smaller boy's body.
- Yeah right. - Link shook his head and walked to the other side of the table, leaning on the stick.
- C'mon, don't give up. Let's try again.
- You first. - the dark haired suggested smiling. Rhett nodded and began the game.
His movements were precise and quick, making Link wonder if the boy had some type of professional practice at the game. He observed Rhett's every move, most of the times just looking at the blond guys attractive concentrated face. He wanted to kick his guts out with every single fantasy that occurred in his head about the tall blond boy. The alcohol in his body was certainly doing its work.
They kept playing for what it seemed hours and no one had interrupted them a single time, for which Link was glad. The two boys giggled every time the dark haired played because of his clumsiness and such little practice at what he was doing. But he didn't mind being bad at it since Rhett's laugh was such an amazing sound to listen. They kept exchanging glances, touches and shy smiles from time to time and when the game finished and Link lost, he was pretty disappointed with the fact that there would be no excuse now about touching the other guy.
- I gotta go to the toilet. - Rhett informed when both of them started to make their way back to the tables.
- Yeah, me too. - Link answered, swallowing loudly.
They changed their path and entered into a dark corridor that led to the toilets of the bar. Link didn't really have to go, but even more privacy with the taller guy would be perfect.
Though he didn't even have to wait till they arrive to the toilet as when both of them stepped into the no lights corridor, Rhett grabbed his shoulders and pushed him against the wall. Link gasped in surprise, holding his breathing when those desirable lips smashed against his. The dark haired held to Rhett's t-shirt with his both hands while he kissed back the blond guy's wet lips and by the time they separated and Link let go of his breathing, he felt light headed and dizzy even though he wasn't able to see what was in front of him.
The only indications that there were doors at the corridor were the lights at both of the toilets which made a shiny rectangular frame on the dark wall. Rhett opened one of them making Link squeeze his eyes with the sudden light and by holding one of his hands pulled the smaller guy in. He took a second to make sure they were alone in the cold room and then immediately went back to his new friend.
He grabbed Link's both wrists and pulled his arms up, pinning them against the door. The fact that Rhett was taller gave him a big advantage at trapping Link's body between the door and himself. Yet the smaller didn't even fight back and impatiently waited for Rhett's lips be pressed against his again.
- Is this... okay? - Rhett asked, afraid that he was misunderstanding the situation.
Link looked up at him, pretty sure that even his eyes screamed for the tall one to kiss him again. - More than okay. - he answered with a low voice and licked his lips.
Rhett exhaled loudly, his eyes jumping from Link's eyes to his mouth. - You're pretty. Very pretty.
- Thank you. - Link felt his face warming up.
- You're blushing? - Rhett smiled when he saw the dark haired boy's face turning red. Link bit on his lip and looked down, but the position of his arms didn't help him much at that. - That's cute. - Rhett continued and lowered himself a little, gently kissing Link's lips. - Come here. - he let go of Link's arms and held one of his hands once again. The blond led him to one of the toilet cubicles and closed the door after them. It wasn't the cleanest or nicest place ever, but it didn't matter much to both of them.
- Are you new in the town? Never see you here. - the taller asked.
- No. I guess I don't attract much attention to me. And I live on the other side of the down, so that's another thing. - he shrugged.
- Well, you attracted my attention. - Rhett smirked.
Rhett put the toilet lid down and sat on it, making Link sit on his lap. He took the liberty to put his hands on Link's ass and pull the dark haired boy closer, gluing their torsos. They kissed once again, this time more gently and nicely, letting their tongues join each other after a couple of moments.
The taller lead his hands under Link's shirt and gently massaged the warm skin on the bottom of the dark haired boy's back, to which Link responded with soft moans in between their kisses. None of them was willing to interrupt the amazing experience, letting the making out session extend for a long period of time.A/N: Can you tell I'm still having writers block?
