IT HAS been officially a month since Pope was sentenced to jail, so the four other Pogues all showed up the day he got out. "Whoo!" John B whoops when the Heyward walks out. "Hey!" Kie greeted, smiling widely. "Pope!" Sarah exclaims as the boy came down the stairs. "Woo-hoo." Jake raised his hands.
"What up, big boy?" John B approached him, hugging him first before parting. "You look good." Jake said as he brings him into a hug next before Kie hugs him after. "How was it?" She asked, stepping away. "Shoot... in, out. I'm free no matter where I'm at." Pope took off his sunglasses, as Kie side eyes the other three. "Oh. Right." John B says quietly. "You alright?" Sarah asked and Pope looks at her. "Better than I've ever been." He says as Jake nods, squinting his eyes. "I see." He said quietly, confused.
"I'll catch ya'll on the flip." Pope then says. "Yeah." Kie says quietly, before the Heyward walks away. "What the hell was that?" John B asked them quietly. "Who the hell was that?" Kie asked next, as Pope reached his dad and mom, being brought into a hug. "Not what I was expecting." Jake quips, his arms crossed. "Uh-uh." John B agreed, shaking his head.
The next day was Sarah's birthday, and Jake only knew about it because Kie had come by to see Evie, kneeling down to give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Mama Kie, why don't you live with us?" The four year old asked, her bottom lip jutted out and the Carrera glanced over to Jake, the Lennox was pacing in the kitchen, staring at the messages from his dad.
Reece had been trying even more to be back into Jake's life, since that whole ordeal of him running away from home and cutting off ties with the Yukimura man. He stared at the money in his bank account with a disgusted face, because clearly, his dad was trying to buy his love again. "That's sorta up to your dad, baby girl. Poguelandia is gone so I live at home again." Kie said as Evie crossed her arms, turning around to look over at her father.
"Jay is gone. Home is gone. Now Mama Kie is gone." She said and Jake looked over, letting out a deep sigh. "Mama Kie is not gone, Evie, she's right there." He gestured to his girlfriend and Evie stomped her foot. "I want her to live here!" She raised her tiny voice as Jake ran a hand over his face, letting out a sigh. "Eves, calm down," Kie said, grabbing the girl's arms and turning her around gently to face her. "Wanna know something?" She smiled.
"What?" Evie said, her arms still crossed and a pout still evident on her face, "well... it's a special someone's birthday today." Kie told her, booping her nose. "Me?" Evie pointed to her chest. "Your birthday's not for another two months." Jake said, staring down at his phone again and the girl rolls her eyes. "Who taught you that?" Kie nodded to her and Evie looks at her mama. "No one..." She said quietly and the Carrera sighs. "Um, it's not your birthday, no, but it's Auntie Sarah's. And tonight, we're gonna have a party for her. Do you wanna come?" She asked, a little grin growing on her face and Evie beams.
"Auntie Sarah?! How old is she?!" She asked eagerly, grabbing Kie's arms and the Carrera chuckled, pulling her closer. "She's twenty. Do you know how many that is?" She asked and Evie shook her head. "This many." Kie began showing her on her fingers and the Lennox girl raised her brows, jaw dropping. "Not as old as dada." She whispered and Kie giggled, nodding. "Not as old as him." She whispered and the little girl giggles, cupping her hands on her mouth.
Jake wasn't listening however, he was busy typing up a response to his dad before he set his phone down and looked over. "What are you two whispering about?" He asked and walked back over to the stove, turning off the burner where he had set some soup into a bowl for his and Evie's lunch, now also for Kie. "Nothing, nothing, dad!" Evie replied, waving her hand and he peers out the side of the cupboard, "hey. It's dada to you, not dad." He insisted before returning back to the kitchen and Evie hums.
