Bad little pawns

We all sat watching sinister. The movie with the most jump scares. The movie was kind of lame but the jump scares kept me watching. Jeff has this thing going too, every time the music would build up he'd scare either me or Ben to make us jump then we'd get scared a second time because of the actual jump scare. I could tell Ben was getting really annoyed but I let Jeff have his amused humor in stupidity. Liu sat quietly on the floor with his knees up to his chest. He seemed to be into the movie. The music started building up and again and I waited patiently for Jeff to choose who he was gonna scare. Jeff leaned forward a bit towards Ben as he whipped his head around to yell at Jeff. "Don't you fucking dare Jeff, I hate watching scary movies with you, you're such an asshole!" Ben ranted. I tried to hold in a laugh. Jeff put his hands up in surrender. "This movie isn't even scary." Jeff mumbled before crossing his arms. "Sssshhhhh..." Liu hushed Jeff irritated. Jeff snapped his attention to Liu and his expression changed from playful mode to kill mode. "Why don't you-" Jeff began but I jumped the whole length of the couch to cover his mouth. "Why don't I what?!" Sully butted in. "Mmmm mmmm mmmm mm mm mmmmm!!!" Jeff sounded muffled under my hand. "Nothing, he said nothing!" I answered for Jeff. Jeff shook his head violently to disagree before lifting up his hand to flip Liu off. I smacked Jeff's hand down and Ben let out a laugh. "Fuck you Jeff!" Sully shouted. Jeff stood up, even though I tried to hold him down he still stood up effortlessly. Jeff pushed Liu a I stood up. "Guys stop, stop, the movies still going, let's just watch the movie." I stated getting between them and holding them apart with my arms. "Move." Sully growled and pushed me out of the way making me fall to the couch. Ben's jaw hit the floor, but not as fast as Liu hit the floor from Jeff shoving him. "I'm so sorry Y/n..." Liu told me. I knew it wasn't Liu who pushed me. I shook my head and stood back up. "It's okay..." I said. "Jeff, just sit back down." I begged. Jeff stood with his hands balled into fists. Liu propped himself up onto his hands and glared back at Jeff. I felt like at any moment Jeff would pounce on Liu and they'd rip each other to shreds. "Jeff..." I call again just as Jeff slowly backs away from Liu and sits back on the couch still glaring at him. Ben just looks back and forth between them. "Ben..." I whisper as he looks at me. I motion for him to help. "Uh...Liu, why don't you come with me to go get some snacks?" Ben asked awkwardly. Liu stood an dusted off his sweater. "Beats staying here..." Liu said irritated. When Ben and Liu left I turned to Jeff and hit him with the pillow. "The fuck are you doing?!" I shout. Jeff gives me a mad look before pulling me closer to him by my ankles and grabs the side of my head to push me off the couch. He stops though and ends up just resting his hand on the side of my face. "Shut up." He growls. I flick his nose. "You're burying yourself idiot." I glare at him. He crosses his arms. "He starred it!" He began. "Don't be a child." I laugh at him. He opens his mouth to say something but then closes it only to give me an irritated look. "You said so yourself...deep down you love him like a brother, so why not show it?" I suggested. "How the hell am I supposed to do that?!" He shouted and stood up. "I don't know...maybe say you're sorry?" I shrugged. "But I'm not sorry, he pushed you and-....you're stupid why would you get in a middle of a fight?" Jeff quickly changed subject. I sighed and flopped backwards to lay on the couch. "You're such a pain in the ass sometimes..." I told him looking straight up at the ceiling. He shortly came into view as he leaned over me. "Make a deal with me." He said like it was a demand. I shifted my eyes to look at him. "Why? Depends what it is." I said suspicious. "Go killing with me tonight." He said. "Why?" I asked sitting up. "Because I told you I'd take you back later anyways..." He mumbled. "If I do what's in it for me?" I asked thinking about it. He shrugged. "I guess I'll say I'm sorry." He spoke disgusted. "And you have to try to be nice." I crossed my arms. "What?!" He shouted getting mad again. "I'm being serious." I gave an unamused look. "So am I! Do you have any idea how hard that's gonna be?!" He shouted frantically. "The deal is gonna have to be bigger." He added. He paced the living room back and forth and thought as I gave a confused look. It was nearly 5 seconds later when he thought of something else. "The deal is now you have to go killing with me whenever I want...AND...I get a free back rub whenever I want." He smiled wide. "What?! No!" I now stood up. "Okay...I have other plans too." Jeff shrugged and pulled out his knife and twirled it in his hands. I didn't want him to kill Liu. "Why a back rub though?..." I whined. "Well, it's hard work trying to be nice." Jeff laughed. "You're so stupid." I rolled my eyes. "Also...my shoulders start to hurt from rolling over them when I jump out of windows and I get pretty sore when I take 7 people on at once." He smirked. "Is he trying to show off?" I think to myself. "So...deal?" He asked again. "Yeah, fine, deal." I said irritated. He stuck his hand out and I figured he wanted me to shake it. I extended my hand and he yanked me up. "Let's go." He said. "Where?" I asked as he pulled me along out of the living room. "Well, I have to go say sort right?..." He still seemed disgusted. "Cause I wanna go killing after..." Jeff added and led me into the kitchen and there stood Ben, EJ, Helen and Liu. They all turned to look at us. "Hey...sorry about what happened 10 minute ago Liu..." Jeff awkwardly said while rubbing the back of his neck. Ben's jaw dropped to the floor again. EJ dropped the kidney he was eating and Helen stood perfectly still. "Holy shit...I think the world is ending..." Ben said looking out the kitchen window over the sink. "What did you just say?..." Liu asked kind of surprised too. "I'm not gonna repeat myself." Jeff rolled his eyes. "Uh...um...it's okay, I expect your apology..." Liu said back equally as awkward. "Jeff...you just...said sorry, are you feeling okay?" EJ asked carefully. I felt bad they were giving Jeff a hard time about it. "Look...I made him say sorry." I announced. Everyone stood still again. "What now?" I asked crossing my arms. "Okay...the world is seriously ending, what the hell is going on?" Ben said. "You guys are assholes, go fuck yourselves." Jeff shouted and stomped out of the kitchen and slammed the front door as he left. I turned back to look at them. "Seriously guys?" I asked and rubbed my temples. "How did you get him to do that?" EJ asked. "What?" I asked confused. "Jeff literally hates everyone....he never says sorry, and he especially never takes orders from anyone." Liu explained. I shrugged. "You guys, come on he's not that bad." I half smiled at their childishness in the while situation. It was quiet for a minute. "Unholy zalgo...no..." Helen said shocked again. "Can it be?" He said now sounding dramatic like he was in a drama class. "Has Jeffrey Woods' heart been captured by the fair mortal maiden?" Helen tilted his head up to the ceiling and reached up dramatically again only to bring it back down over his heart. I couldn't help but laugh a little. I guess Helen could get a little dramatic and poetic considering he is a painter. "W-what? No, that's impossible." Ben quickly said and laughed nervously. Everyone slowly turned to look at him. "Jeff hates everyone remember?" Ben smiled innocently. "Agreed." Sully added. "Sully what did I say? You have no say in anything, You need to stop picking fights." Liu scolded. It was odd considering it was like he was scolding himself. "Okay well...I'll see you guys later." I say turning to walk away. "Wait, where you going?" Ben asked. "Oh, I haven't gone killing since I got here so Jeff is making me go with him." I say looking at them over my shoulder. They exchanged looks before Helen returns to his dramatic state. "Tis is true, thy love will bloom!" He said. I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Knock it off." I said. They laughed as I wave them off again before leaving the kitchen.
