friday.

"so, we got popcorn, chips, soda, some nutella for those who are hungry and we rented five different movies." ashton chirped as he and britney entered the living room with a bag full of goods.

"sounds awesome." calum chimed as he threw one arm around luke's shoulders.

"luke, pick a movie." michael said, looking directly at his blonde friend. luke hummed and stopped biting on his thumbnail as his eyes scanned all the movies on the table.

"prisoners." he decided and leaned his head against calum's chest, tugging on his lip ring with his teeth. everyone agreed to watch that movie and ashton went to prepare the popcorns.

luke's thoughts travelled back to earlier, and how andie had actually apologized for her harsh words. it was an odd situation, since he had never heard her apologize before, and she straight up told him that what she said made her feel bad. panic took over him though, so he had quickly excused himself and rushed over to his car, which he now regretted.

calum nudged his friend so he'd come back to reality and smiled sheepishly at him. luke raised his eyebrows as if to question him, but quickly let them sink down again when the movie began.

an hour or so into the movie, four of them noticed how ashton had his arm wrapped around britney, holding her tightly against his body. michael grimaced, causing both calum and luke to snort out loud to suppress their laughter.

"do you guys wanna' play a game later?" calum suddenly asked, earning everyone's attention for a brief moment. everyone hummed in response, too caught up in the movie to form a proper reply.

calum pouted at his lap and exaggerated a sad face. luke noticed though – since he was barely an inch away – and formed a smile that made his dimples prominent. he lifted his hand slowly, only to stroke calum's cheek with his index and middle finger, which only made calum laugh, gaze at luke and tilt his head to the side.

"stop being so sickly cute." michael commented their little act from beside them and scrunched his nose.

"you're just jealous." calum scoffed and raised his eyebrows at michael.

"yeah, sure." michael said sarcastically and turned to look at the tv again. luke giggled and did the same, taking his bottom lip between his teeth to stop his embarrassing giggling.

"you guys are so lame in a cute way." diana uttered, surprising all three of them. they hadn't heard her speak in what felt like forever, and since britney was the closest to them, they were never sure how to converse with her. especially luke, who was socially awkward in general.

"why are you sitting alone in the corner?" calum asked and patted the seat next to luke, motioning for her to sit there. the couch was honestly huge, and ashton and britney weren't even placed on the same one, so there was plenty of space for diana to sit.

diana rolled her eyes but with a smile, and sat down next to luke before pulling her legs up and resting both arms upon them. luke awkwardly smiled at her before averting his eyes back to the movie.

"wait, who chose the movie? it's amazing." britney asked from her seat and turned her head to able to see them all.

"i did." luke grinned proudly and groaned when calum playfully hit his stomach.

"proud much?" britney laughed and shook her head slightly. luke smirked, and they all remained silent until the movie ended. when it did, calum was first to stand up and clap his hands against each other.
